Anyone know where these lyrics are from?

"The Worms will convene outside Brixton Bus Station. We'll be moving along at about 12 o'clock down Stockwell Road {.... ......} {Abbot's Road } {.....} twelve minutes to three we'll be moving along Lambeth Road towards Vauxhall Bridge. Now when we get to the other side of Vauxhall Bridge we're in Westminster {Borough } area. It's quite possible we may encounter some {.....} by the way we go. {... ..}."

How about these one's which are a little more obvious.

"Bath of tequila, Manuel
Leaf and cringle
Laugh at my lisp and kill you
I think
This Spanish music
It sets my soul on fire

Lovely seniorita
Your eyes are like stars
Your teeth are like pearls
Your ruby lips seniorita"

We got to pump the stuff to make us tough
from the heart
Its astart
What we need is awareness we cant get careless
Mental self defensive fitness
Make everybody see in order to fight the powers that be

I have no clue about the lyrics

...

but about Lizard...

for soem people it seems to be hard to get into

i for one loved it the very first time i heard it adn still do

i think maybe some people prefer crimson's harder moments, and they have trouble with it

but starless/bible black isn't exactly hard

so i dunno

just give it time, lots of time

the best albums are the ones that take forever to get into and then turn out being amazing

honaray mention to _____

I'm having real trouble getting into Lizard. If someone can explain the appeal, maybe I could give it another shot.

It's all about Gordon Haskel's crazy unusual voice and the beautiful classical instruments.

Yeah. That's about the only Crimson album I don't like much...mostly because Gordon can't sing at all.  But then there's also the album being underwritten (which is a nice way of saying the songs are anooying and boring)...

The sound it makes.Stern Smile

For maximum effect, listen to it in 1970. Unwind mind and re-thread head. Listen again. Stare at cool cover art. (LP format works best) Repeat as often as necessary.Cool

In 1970 the cool cover art of a 12" vinyl album was (apparently, I never tried it myself... ) best seen whilst being used as a base for smoking accoutrements... so I'm told...

That's from The Wall, where Pink goes mad and mobilises his right wing thugs. Very close to the kind of thing that was actually happening in the UK at the time, especially in those parts of London. But it's still a crap album.

I've got my doubts about how much to contribute

^^re. Starless & BB, Lizard - I like both though have only recently come to Lizard - I love the use of brass etc on it, and Haskels (& Jon Andersons!) voice works for me, but it is a very different Crimson. (One Crimson vocalist that doesn't work for me is Boz Burrell on Islands!).

If you like Starless & Bible Black, try to listen to "The Night Watch" which is a double live CD of the Amsterdam concert in which several tracks for S&BB were recorded, including Fracture and Trio!! For me, the "plain" live versions are better (S&BB had some overdubs & re-mixing done).
