PFM : L'isola di niente ... I like a lot of the listed items (QVL, Le Orme, Il Volo, Arti e mestiere, Aqua Fragile, BplI,..)

...What an amazing year for Italy. And because Morricone remains the man, here's a shout out to one of my favourite soundtracks of his from 1974: Il sorriso del grande tentatore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM7OvklcAn4

I'll make it my Mission to do an Ennio Morricone Movie Music Maestro tribute blog one day, although it could take me awhile as there's more than a Fistful of albums to get through, with well over 500 soundtracks to listen to at the last count. Shocked

I have more Morricone albums than from anyone else (Magma second methinks) and to me that Mission might seem even more of a penury than Rodrigo's (as played by De Niro) penance. Metaphorically speaking, God knows I have many sins to atone for, but over 500 albums? It wouldn't really be hell for me exactly so much as purgatory. The vast majority of Morricone I love is from the 60s and 70s, but of course he has lots of other wonderful music. SO many wonderful albums by so many artists to listen to, such a finite time (unless there is a heaven and I can access Spotify, youtube, bandcamp and my music collection etc.). Heaven without wi-fi is another word for hell, or at least some might think so.

I was looking for a new challenge after cataloguing all of Tangerine Dream's 191 albums, not to mention the hundreds of solo albums by the individual members of Tangerine Dream. I've tried to listen to all of Ennio Morricone's albums in the past when I worked as an editor on YouTube Episodes & Music but only made it about a quarter of the way through his vast discography. Anyway, as you say, there's an infinite variety of artists and albums to listen to online these days with only a finite amount of time to listen to them all, but if there is such a thing as heaven, then Heaven is a Place on Earth, right here, right now.  Smile
