The Mellotron is great, the moog is good too.

There was a thread recently about the mellotron, the instrument itself and great mellotron tracks.

Rick Wakeman used the mellotron a lot in 70's Yes and solo work - in particular I'd mention And You and I, and The Remembering. Plus I know he played keyboards on Bowie's "Space Odditty" and sounds like a mellotron in there...

Gryphon's Krumhorn or Bassoon is without a doubt one of the most original and Proggish sounding intsruments.

Huh?

What?? That what i think the proggiest musical instrament is.

A jawbone of a donkey as used by Gentle Giant

I don't know if any other band has.

Wow, that's enlightening!

Now, cut the cr*ap and tell us what song by GG features that "instrument"?

Not exactly sure which song (altho i think it may be Black Cat) it is on Acquiring the Taste.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

And I'll make sure to check out the donkey jawbone, next time I listen to it. Thanks.
