video vertigo, are you relatively new to Jethro Tull? Because if you are, I wouldn't get started on those albums.  I would start you off on Aqualung, Thick as a Brick (MASTERPIECE), Stand Up, A Passion Play (also a masterpiece, but wait until you're fully into the Tull sound to buy it), Songs from the Wood, Minstrel in the Gallery, Heavy Horses. WarChild is a good album, but it's nowhere near one of their best. I actually got the JT albums in chronological order (well, I got Aqualung first, and then backtracked to This Was, Stand Up, Benefit, and kept going chronologically from there), you could try that too. If you don't feel like getting the first 3 albums, then you could get Living in the Past, as with the arrival of the CD came the bonus tracks, and most of the songs on LitP are on bonus tracks in those CDs. So if you're gonna get the first 3 albums, then don't make LitP an immediate purchase, as you will have heard most of it. It's got some other good tracks, though, and 2 cool live songs, so if you're a huge fan and a completionist (like me) then go for it.

I have Aqualung and Thick as a Brick.  I included the albums mentioned because they were the highest recommend in the reviews.  I enjoy TAAB and Aqualung and wanted to continue into more Jethro Tull albums

I once had a wish list that was very long and I decided to prioritise it and wipe off a lot of stuff. If your wish list gets too big then it controls you rather than the other way round. Get your wish list down to 10 items at the most otherwise it's depressing.
