Dream Theater Forums member CharlesPL, who claims to be from Poland and that his sister knows the band personally, had this to say:
"Quick short update :
About 2 am came out of Club (after TWD show)
got into a cab went home, and before 4 in the morning ,he was dead. He
died at home (not confirmed)"

I spun all my Riverside records yesterday in order, the magic is so apparent. Still cannot believe he is gone, whatever the reason is the end result is very sad for music.

The world has become a much, much poorer place with his passing. His guitar playing has been one of the highlights in music over the last 10 years. The last section of Reality Dream off Out of Myself is just stunning, and there are many more examples of why he was so special.

I've been a fan of progressive rock for 45 years now, and Riverside were the band of the present century for me. Such exciting, powerful and intelligent albums. This is devastating for us all. RIP Piotr

O, sh**. I can't believe I'm big fan of Riverside. Their music touched some strings in my soul. I never was so sad about musician death, since Chris Squire(Yes) passed away. This is a huge loss for the band and their fans
