An unborn child is a human life to take that away would be denying that unborn child the right to live. As for planned Parenthood like a lot of other things it is at least partially government funded. I personally would have no problem if it were completely privatized, i feel the same way about the cdc so it has nothing to do with the emotions that planned Parenthood sometimes evoke in people Edited by Disparate Times - August 18 2015 at 16:05 |

I was upset at the sight of about 5 cops in San Francisco attacking and pinning down a disabled homeless man with a prosthetic leg. He was reportedly acting 'strangely'
What made it worse is the more he appealed to cops to not hurt him and the more he questioned why they were doing it the worse the assault became. F***ing appalling. They should all be shot. ..oh and just for a change the guy was black, although I'm sure the cops would have acted in the same way had he been white. Edited by Blacksword - August 19 2015 at 04:23 |

Almost every day the news of yet another bombing or atrocity, usually in the name of their God or religion. It's a sick world we live in.

I took my daughter to the "Lab Quest" for blood work. The television was very loud and completely annoying. FOX 29 NEWS was on and observing people in the waiting room...I could clearly see their ridiculous fears and overall belief in what was being reported as if they were standing in front of GOD..Lol! If they hung around journalists.(as I do),..they might be singing a different tune. NOT everything on the news is false, but a great deal of it is hyped to put fear in people and make profit from violence. If someone commits murder, all I need to hear is that the person has been incarcerated. I don't need to know where they went to school, their upbringing, how they treated their friends in college, etc....so that society can make some exaggerated judgmental reflection on how the neighbour raises their kids, how the neighbour's kid treats their friends and son...and so on....as people often make moronic, out of bounds accusations of innocent people which revolve around a fringe ass news report that's merely been designed to scare everybody and as a result make money. That really pisses me off...Lol!

We need more stories about 'Bernhard aged 84 told his wife that he loves her for the first time and she believed it'
It is of as much consequence to our daily life as someone a hundred miles away getting shot or stabbed. |

My wife and I were walking around the park tonight, and there were 3 boys, maybe 12 years old, playing basketball.
A pickup truck came down the street, 2 girls were inside, and 2 guys were sitting in the back. One of them started yelling "Kobe! Hey, Kobe!". One of the boys playing ball was black. He made a Kobe fadeaway move, playing along, having fun. Then, as they got further down the street, the douchebag in the truck yelled, "What are you doing in a white neighborhood?" Jesus, he's just a kid. He certainly doesn't need to deal with that kind of bullsh*t. This is the same park where, about a month ago, we passed by a couple of guys kicking out a large swastika in the dirt by one of the picnic benches. When we made our circuit around the park and saw what they had drawn out, we kicked it all to dust again. I'm constantly amazed that such ideas as those appeal to people anymore. |

I'm probably alone here, but I actually kind of like the new layout, although there are so many bugs that I wonder why they launched such broken version.
And what upset me today: the fact that I told myself to go to bed two hours earlier and here I am. |

The new last.fm might not be fully operational yet to the point it's hard to judge it, but boy howdy is it confusing and I don't know why they have launched it already when it is obviously still in the beta stage.
It also upsets me that there's not much more use of the phrase "boy howdy" in everyday life. ![]() Boy howdy is "boy howdy" a great phrase or what? |

Reading "it ' s" (with the apostrophe) used as a possessive determiner for the god-knows-what time. For quite a while it's (a contraction!) been rather annoying, but now it is crossing the line into the "upsetting" territory.
Sue me for something so "petty".

I agree but I guess you can't blame someone for assuming a possessive apostrophe applies when indeed the "its" is possessive-- and you used it above as "it has" rather than "it is", which is also correct. And don't get me started on the post-S apostrophe (one of my favorites). One of those absurdities of English.
