Anybody here like Les Rallizes Dénudés?  They're the most ahead-of-their-time and chaotic Japanese band I know of.  It's more psychedelic and noise than avant-garde, but still.  They don't even really have any albums from their early days, just live recordings from later.

Never heard of them, but that sounds intriguing.

They have a wikipedia page, surprisingly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Rallizes_Denudes

I only have Live '77, and it's a good foreshadow of the No Wave scene that emerged a bit later, and then noise rock after that.  The vocals are really dissonant and spacey, they aren't as good as Hawkwind or Gong, but might be more out there.

Hmm... neat. That might be up my alley.

Thanks!

It saddens me. But I have a weak spot for adventure movies and epic sagas. Not a Star Wars nerd or anything though, just driven by my childish side.

Oh just go play some DnD, Linus! Wink

There's a game near me on Monday, but I can't go, gotta work Cry

Except I once watched Space Balls twice in a row when under the influence.  The second time was without sound.

You have to give it a good few years to try and forget the jokes before watching it again.  There's only so many times you can laugh at Mick Moranis and John Candy.

I watched the entire extended edition Lord of the Rings under the influence of pipeweed.  It was one of the coolest experiences ever.

Had one in my class a while back. Unless regular geeks, that sort is just...invasive! They never stop.

Meh.

LotR is also overrated.

Peter Jackson should have stuck to his hilarious bloody comedies. LOL
