I know. I love it every time I see it.

Been on a Star Wars kick since I got the original trilogy on DVD for Christmas, I'll be watching return of the jedi soon. I haven't seen these movies since I watched them daily on VHS, but they're still awesome. I'll probably buy the prequel trilogy as well, if only to see Yoda fight Count 'whatshisname' in Episode 2, or the incredibly cheesy ending to ep 3

That's Count Dooku, purist Wink

I knew it started with a 'D'

You have to admit that the ending to 3 was terrible. I just about died laughing. Ep 2 was too much love story and not enough clone war, but I liked 1...

Before I rewrite this sh*t: does the idea of a poll asking which side people would take if Progarchives had a war (i.e. The ZART Confederacy, Art Rock Hegemony, etc.) sound entertaining in the slightest, or did I just inadvertantly save myself from embarassment?

I have trouble getting into Canterbury.

ZART, Art rock trio and Prog Metal Trio would obviously come to a standoff, eliminating the others by sheer size and force. Although if Symph and Neo ever align then the consequences could be dire...
Well I thought that Neo would probably become a rogue state to strike back against years of oppression.

which is why they all went emo . I expect Pendragon to wear black nail polish on thier next tour. LOL

Hey, I have the urge to watch them - obviously I only dislike them to amuse my more nerdy RL cohorts Wink

I've never owned Alex... how could he be a prize?

And you never beat me.  If you won Alex, it was because you ran out of money and clothes and he was the only thing I'd offer to give you your clothes back.

Anybody here like Les Rallizes Dénudés?  They're the most ahead-of-their-time and chaotic Japanese band I know of.  It's more psychedelic and noise than avant-garde, but still.  They don't even really have any albums from their early days, just live recordings from later.

Never heard of them, but that sounds intriguing.

They have a wikipedia page, surprisingly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Rallizes_Denudes

I only have Live '77, and it's a good foreshadow of the No Wave scene that emerged a bit later, and then noise rock after that.  The vocals are really dissonant and spacey, they aren't as good as Hawkwind or Gong, but might be more out there.

It saddens me. But I have a weak spot for adventure movies and epic sagas. Not a Star Wars nerd or anything though, just driven by my childish side.

LOL Space Balls is awesome. Blue Harvest was good too, but it should have been full length, not hour long TV length goddommot!
