Well, someone has beaten me to this, it seems.

Recently I have been doing covers updates, trying to find the best possible cover of an album so to replace the previous. I started with Yugoslav artists but will surely do it elsewhere when time permits. I have a simple policy: always try to find the best image of the ORIGINAL album cover and not of the many reissues.

But, in the Admin section there is a rule that image should be minimum 300 pix wide and maximum 100 kb size.
Strangely in the band pages when adding new albums, the rule is quite different: minimum 500 pix and max 500kb size.

What is the right rule?
Question

Dunno... Confused But the pics are always resized to 300 pix of width so the first one seems more appropriate.

OK, as precaution I am actually following this first rule - resolution between 300 and 600 pixels and file size less than 100 kb. If I find several similar images, I opt for the highest resolution possible and the image closest to the original (first release). Cheers.

I use to follow the samesteps Wink

Here again, this time with the covers from italian band Logos
The quality from albun covers is not so good, in their official website they have both of them in a nice quality

First one (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=20262)
Second (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=20263)

I think it'll be better to change, but it's up to you guys Wink

And also, the name of the second įlbuis Įsrava not Asrava.

Sorry, but the pics you give links to are smaller than the ones used currently.

I fixed the name of the second one.

Poor Bela Fleck and the Flecktones have been sitting on our site with no mugshot, even when I offered a suitable one:

Complete with a Rickenbacker banjo! Shocked

I can`t send an image but the album cover for Hoelderlin`s Clowns & Clouds is pretty fuzzy. They`ve got a pretty clear image on their official website. Also noticed no band photo and sketchy bio for German one album wonder Golem.
I provided a decent photo for Omega last year and now there`s an inferior one in it`s place.Angry

I replaced it. Embarrassed And I prefer the current one. It's in the same quality as the previous one.
