Thanks for your concern. This island is still peaceful, but now they plan to sell 1.5 million square meters of it to help paying down the debth. It’s absurd; I would rather see Greece going out of the union and get the drachmas back (painful, I know, but maybe the best solution).

yes and no. her famous book suffered the fate of many other books that criticized society; other examples are "Robinson Crusoe", "Gulliver's Travels", "Huckleberry Finn",: they somehow turned into "books for the youth". it is an interesting phenomenon; you will easily come up with more examples like that if you think a bit about that. so in many peoples' minds her famous book is not filed under "novel" but under "youth book"

Hope you've had a good time  Certainly a trailblazer for women in her field, but I don't think it's fair to name her a feminist as such. And it isn't Harriet Beecher Stowe.
