I've gotten some good stuff at used CD stores. But no national chain is going to stock a significant classical selection, what would be the point? Classical fans are far too picky and will never be satisfied with anything a physical store could give them, so why even try?

I've never seen a record store around here, the best I have is Barnes & Nobles. They have a whole side of the store dedicated to classical, but only one shelf for jazz, and thankfully only one for country. LOL
What area of Michigan are you from?  There used to be a Harmony House Classical Store on Woodward in Royal Oak that specialized in classical music, but it closed about 5 years ago.

Cloudy???  We have blue skies and that yellow ball of fire in the sky.  I don't remember what that is called since I haven't seen it in quite awhile, but....  I'm doing pretty good today.  No Red Baroness in my near future.

For classical MP3 downloads, you might want to check out this site.  http://www.eclassical.com/

Clouds. They're these things up in the sky. Sometimes they're white and sometimes they're grey. I'm sure if you think hard enough, you can remember. Tongue

I will definitely be checking out that website.

I know what clouds are.  We have had tons of those lately along with the rain that comes with them.  I was referring to that big yellow ball of fire in the sky. Wink  I haven't seen that in ages.

Do Canadians sit down with their families to a turkey dinner like we do in the USA, or is it Loonies?  BTW, Happy Thanksgiving Mike!!!

thanks!

My family is coming out to visit me for the holiday - first time since I moved out of the house! So today I've got to go and do some serious wine shopping.

and I'm pretty sure that eating a loon is a federal offense in Canada

I was trying to think of a bird native to Canada and the loonie is what came to mind.  Somehow, I forgot about these fellows that chase me in the work parking lot and at the beach.

I live in south west Michigan, by Kalamazoo if you know where that is. It is the place in Michigan that has been rained on constantly the last week or so.

Kalamazoo.  The place where Elvis went to retire.  LOL  I can't help you with any record stores there, although you would think that there might be some near the Western Michigan campus.

That birthing class my wife dragged me to wasn't that bad after all.

A little hippie-ish (talk of hypnosis, herbs, etc), but mostly just down-to-earth business and quite informative.
