Good god, don't even... Dead

Anyway, my epic all-nighter jazz playlist:

Already listened:
Yusef Lateef - Eastern Sounds (8.5)
Hank Mobley - Soul Station (9.7)
Oliver Nelson - The Blues and the Abstract Truth (8.8)
Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch (9.1)

Listening now:  Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain

To Come:

Sun Ra - The Nubians of Plutonia
Miles Davis - In a Silent Way

I'm going with the Great Deceiver and I don't care what anyone says.

Also:
Tired.  Bed.

I haven't heard Starless and Bible Black, but prefer Red very strongly over Larks Tounges

SABB is definitely the best 70s KC studio album, but if you prefer Red to LTIA I don't think SABB is going to be exactly your type.

They added Sleepless to the setlist tonight, but for some reason we couldn't hear the bass.

Also, for some reason Fripp was really sloppy tonight.  In that spot in the beginning of the Construction of Light where they're playing alternating quarter notes, Fripp was AN ENTIRE BEAT off, playing his part RIGHT ON TOP of Adrian's.  It was embarrassing.  They could have done a better job if it was just Belew and a delay pedal.

I got a ring modulator today, which means my capacity to make REALLY F-ING WEIRD NOISES just doubled at least.  In fact, I don't think this thing is good for anything BUT making really f-ing weird noises!

My friend has something on his keyboard that when you put your hand over it, it just creates noise. That is just awesomeness. No idea what it's called though.

Just a reminder that this thread is nearing it's post limit. You might want to start another one soon. Let me or another Admin know when this one can be closed.
