Hi Akamaisondufromage.

We are here debating best case scenario from yesterday. Today, that is history and the screw on the Spanish Inquisition torture instrument we are all attached to now has been tightened tonight. I work myself in the public sector and I am in the 40s, age wise. If the retirement age when I and people of my age retire is not 75 and I am not paying at least twice of what I pay in today with a 20 % effective loss of purchase power , I will gladly call you God, build a religious cult around you and give you a shiny sports car as a sign of my appreciation.

The party is over. You can write resolutions until you get blue in your face. But the party is over and the screws on the   Spanish Inquisition torture instrument you and I is attached to will be tightened more and more and more. And there is nothing you can do with it. Nothing.

I hope you had a good demo yesterday. Staying fit and getting fresh air is very important. Even when doing pointless excersises like yesterday's walks.

A Porche would be nice toroddfuglesteg.  I look forward to having a religious holiday named after me.

You may well be right especially if the pensions become so poor that people begin to opt out.  Then the Tories really can say they are unaffordable.

I don't want to sound nasty or want to be alarmist. But you and the leftists sounds like you are still in year 2008 where we still had control. Believe my words, but this is not 2008. This is 2011 and we are one week away from a potential tipping point in the Euro. If we tip, your marching down the street was nothing but a useful getting fit and fresh air. You can march 50 million people through your local street with banners and paroles and it will still not be anything but an excersise in getting fresh air.

Neither do I understand this Tory this and Tory that. The fact is that the government are in control of 35 billions of a total national economics of 1600 billions. That is not control by anyone's standards. Well, not according to the standards of those of us living in the real world. And in this real world, Labour would want the government "power" in 2015 as much as you would que up outside the local Post office for a bout of buponic plague.

2012........ Welcome to hell. And in contrast to Clarkson who was sarcastic and got 5000 complaints out of it; I am not sarcastic. I really mean it when I say we are staring down the abyss and into the dark dungeons of hell. So you can talk like you believe this is make believe year 2008. It is not.

Do as I do. Get more education/certifications and get a better health.

Funny.  I didn't have that experience when I was in school.  But that was in the 80's, and I know things have changed somewhat.  I had excellent teachers and thought that I received a good education.  In a public school, btw.

There's something I would usually say here about sample size and using personal experiences and memory to collect data, but instead I'm going to say that you most likely learned in spite of your education as most people do.

I loved school.  There was no in spite of.  I wasn't trying to say their weren't problems with the system, only that I didn't have that experience.  That my teachers placed more emphasis on critical thinking than on rote memorization, and I never felt like a prisoner or that I was being taught never to question authority.  Maybe I just got lucky.  Maybe I went to a school that actually cared about the students, or maybe it was just a different time.  I wasn't trying to use myself as a sample size of one, but from my subjective experience I liked school.  Beats the hell out of working.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

It's a shame, I went to public school in a age and place where teachers got decent pay, the school facilities weren't crap, the curriculum was engaging and intelligent.  No metal detectors, we had bullies.  But...

knowing how to color by number is extremely engaging, though.
And useful in  many idiot-proof jobs, such as retail.

Hey everybody, we are only a presidential signature away from the executive branch having the power to detain anyone (yes, even American citizens) indefinitely without needing a reason!  Hooray!  Habeas corpus and the Constitution be damned because we gotta fight them turrurrists and other assorted "evil doers"!

"You have people on the left who hate saying 'the war on terror,'" responded Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-South Carolina. "They would never ever use the military and always insist the law enforcement be used because they don't buy into the idea that we're at war. They want to criminalize the war."  Hey jag off, if there are, name names. Angry

I don't hate saying the phrase, it's just stupid.  And no, you shouldn't use the military in matters which are be the domain of law enforcement.  As a citizen you don't forfeit your constitutional rights just because you are suspected of something.

...and colour by number is banned because it's too stressful for when the little treasures colour over the line. Also, pigmentation by integer is the prefered PC terminology.
What?

A cow has eaten a snake in Hull, England and has passed away as a result. The obduction of the cow revealed this unhealthy diet.

A snow avalanche in Arnafjorden in Norway killed 45 people last night. 16 badly wounded children was pulled out of the snow alive.

A man from Bury, England has been named and shamed as a bad father in a newspaper in Manchester.

......... and that was the news from 2. December 1811.

However, even village idiot's need managers, accountants, union reps, wage clerks, etc. The margin for unintentional idiocy is still pretty wide.

That would be considered a bonus surely? Unless you mean that the idiocy wouldn't necessarily come from the idiot himself, but the support staff? Hmm, yes...that would be awfully confusing. A total cock up in fact. I mean..who is the idiot here?

On second thought, never mind.
