My last post today:
I think you can understand why I was a bit cryptic when it came to the question about the band. I did my best! And you found the song!
So … any brass or woodwinds in the song?

As of then, yes, fewer than five people.

No brass or woodwinds.
BTW: I forgot about opening clues - ... this act is not on PA, ha-ha! ... and they are not South-American.

I must admit JCS is not one of my favorites. I was just guessing to the left and to the right.
Your clues are: not on PA, not South-American, no woodwinds/brass, fewer than five people (as of the time of writing the song), no females on instruments.

No.
Would you like for someone else to join in or do you want to continue?

The more people who guess, the smaller my chances of winning. Why would I want that? You're free to wait for others before answering if you want though. So we're looking at a guitar-bass-drums scenario here. Hmm. Before 1980?

I'm 95 percent sure there was not a keyboard used. There is no detailed info about that.
Yes, before '80.

Ah ha. Any analog synths? They are operated without a keyboard, or at least the early ones were.

Possibly. It does sound like a synth was used on it, but it could be something else. Seriously, no good info about that on Wiki.
Your clues are: not on PA, not South-American, no woodwinds/brass, fewer than five people (as of the time of writing the song), no females on instruments, before 1980.

Ah well, worth a shot. Was the band formed before 1970?

No.
Your clues are: not on PA, not South-American, not Beach Boys, formed before '70, not from UK, no woodwinds/brass, possibly with a synth, fewer than five people (as of the time of writing the song), no females on instruments, before 1980.
