Give me a month (yes I know, that's insanely long) and I can probably get a full 6-10 minute bass track with vocals. And it will be metal. Oh so delightfully avant-metal.

The bad news is my camera still isn't as good as it probably should be.
The good news is I got an amp today and it kicks serious ass. I mean DAMN.
The mediocre news is that I'm used to playing jazzy-funky-improv slap bass so composing a metal track will take, well, a month at the most.

I'll probably send the track to ACYL first (I'll have a repetitive bass minute at one point so he can put a solo in) and then to you (I'll have another repetitive bass minute for you to do a drum solo).

Also, this is going to be a very constructive track. I don't want improv unless it's at the very end of the track, like the last two minutes.

(looking at what I'm requesting, this track might be more than 6-10 minutes)

I'm probably not playing guitar guys! I've go no proper recording system, and I've still got to buy new strings. Maybe later.

Coolbeans. Im just aching to play an actual song. Though solo's are rockin too

Its all good ACYL. I think at this stage we're mainly having fun and just recording anything. I figured once we have a lot we can start putting it together. Until then I'm going nuts!

I'm thinking either NC, Pekka, or JJLehto can do the guitar track.

(although I haven't heard anything from our other guitarists)

Evening gents, good to see it's all going well. I may record a metal-ish riff or two if I can be bothered this afternoon.

Dean just replied and said that this thread doesn't need to be stickied.

Okay.....oh well, we can just bump it every now and then. He also recommended we bookmark it.

Oh, just play the track in the background (as loudly as your playing is) while you do your thing. That's what I would do anyway.
