Mostly indie/alt rock ,and occasionally some folk... My favourite non-prog bands right now are...
- Death Cab For Cutie
- The Waterboys
- ARROWS (Really small Australian band)
- This Town Needs Guns
- The Smiths
- Frightened Rabbit
- American Football

![](smileys/smiley36.gif) All bands I've never heard of. (minus Death Cab For Cutie, which I detest ![](smileys/smiley17.gif) )
Well, some bands I've been listening to alot recently are
-Of Montreal
-OK Go
-Arctic Monkeys
-The Darkness
-Gogol Bordello
-Tegan & Sara

There was an Old Man of Coblenz, the length of whose legs was immense;
He went with one prance from Turkey to France,
That surprising Old Man of Coblenz.

Well...
-Of Montreal (creative wonky excellence)
-OK Go (The only thing that beats their lyrics is the lead singer's sister's coreography ![](smileys/smiley17.gif) )
-Arctic Monkeys (Humbug is ok... Alex Turner really needs a haircut though)
-The Darkness (My favourite singer ever. Excellent for car-ride sing-alongs)
-Gogol Bordello (It's like Neo-gypsy music. Gypsy punk, if you will.)
-Tegan & Sara (Hated them at first. They grew on me.)

I'm getting to be like that... I found it hard to come up with my ten favourite non-prog bands in one of the polls
I even sorted my iTunes library into subgenres of prog today

Is it bad that I'm glad I'm not that devoted?

Its only really since I joined PA that I've gotten into the genre so much more...

Anything I listen to that's non-prog and non-experimental rock is mostly jazz and metal. And a few electronic bands. And bits of classical. And Queens of the Stone Age. And.... ![LOL LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) I guess I'm listening to a pretty even amount of prog and non-prog these days.
