Neil Young's "Trans" album has always been one of my favorites - I had a VHS of him playing in Berlin on that tour (with Nils Lofgren on guitar) & the blend of electronica & gutsy guitar work was superb; the problem is that video is not available on DVD - for that matter, neither is the "Weld" video - one of the best live films of Neil Young you'll ever see.

Missed that ... but it is available on iPlayer... I shall be watching it there.Smile

I did see Elbow with the BBC Concert Orchestra on Saturday (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00h8l42/Radio_2_Live_Elbow_with_the_BBC_Concert_Orchestra/) - that was very good (if you like that kind of thing, which I do)

I'd rather the snow went away,..

I've left my car over by a friend's house and I need to pick it up... and that means taking two buses in the snow.  I don't really want to leave the car parked there for too much longer.

Serves me right for getting drunk on Saturday, I guess.

I just hope the buses aren't cancelled.

Last I heard, all London buses are suspended, all rail services from Essex, Kent & Sussex suspended... James, stay at home - I'm just waiting for a call back to confirm the office is to close.

Hmmm

Only a 10 minute walk from home to pub... could be a plan

I'm still waiting for the official word, but it looks like I might wind up going in after all. Bugger!

Quote In the South West, Pendragon's mailing department has been brought to a halt due to the so-called "adverse weather conditions",

In other news, Pendragon's publicity department has reported increased kettle usage & the production of lardy cake is set to peak by mid-day; now over to the Pendragon sports desk...

Couldn't get into work this morning...Yay!
Have to take the day as annual leave...Boo!

All train services suspended on my line.Thank you South West Trains

When I got to my station this morning at about 5.45,the snow was covering the tracks! I haven't seen anything like ths since 1991.

We now have about a foot of snow in our garden.I just put some linseed out for the birds.

The Met Office have put a warning out saying that we can expect some very heavy snow late this afternoon/evening in the S.E. of England.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

A couple of gratuitous and exploitive shed-shots:

Darq Towers and the (infamous) blue shed:

A somewhat forlorn potting shed:
