It is hard to believe there were 277 pages there before this one even started.  I do enjoy randomly flipping through old threads from time to time.  Here and elsewhere in the forums.  I enjoy looking at stuff from way back in the early days of the site, before I joined.

Lots of great stuff and old friends in these archives.

The cover of this rare album (1975) will look familiar to some of  you. Mostly pop with light prog influence. I like it.
A japanese Cd exists.

Jim, which one of theirs in particular do you mean? :)

Looking of that spqrlabel website, seems they have several items on vinyl available, is there anything that stands out to you that you think I should consider looking into?

CD or vinyl, really doesn't matter....I like a healthy combination of both!

No traces of that I Gregor CD left available anywhere Pierre!

Would have loved to give that a shot, sometimes lovely, melodic and more simpler RPI is just what we need....The first track in particular had a lovely drifting and dreamy quality.

Michael, you can find it on ebay, but at 50 USD. The sensitiva immagine (first melos edition) has been sold 5 minutes ago at 36 euros. I can't follow all those bids. MP3 or russian dics. That's my choice.

Thanks, Jim, written that Ballo Della album down on my list!

Pierre, I hope you enjoy this one....It's from an RPI Xian album I bought the other day.

Gebel Qarantal - Luciano Laurini

Listen to that punchy bass, the wild drums, those ghostly synths, fiery acoustic guitar and, most of all, that rich and lovely voice!

It's become a very special album to me.

IL VOLO DI ICARO (1978). Not a masterpiece, but it certainly belongs here. It's on P.A.

Yes, Pierre, I recommended the first track the other day from that Icaro album! It's a nice enough album, though some of it is a little bland. Glad I've got to hear it, though.

By the way, I don't think that Luciani album is available on CD, I bought the LP with the alternate cover:

No, Michael, it's not. Another important Xian artist to bring back into light.

I heard an album Luciano did in the late 80's, the whole thing is up on Youtube, but some nice music is let down by cold 80's production techniques...bit of a shame!

Thanks, Pierre, when I'm home in three hours I'll give a listen!

Pierre, any other Xian/folk albums, perhaps even vinyl only, that you can instantly recommend I should look into if I like that Luciani one?
