Search me, I don't live in the USA and have never even seen a skunk or raccoon. Wiki tells me that vaccines can be administered to feral animals through dosed baits though something tells me that the best delivery system would probably be a .22 rifle for an infected animal.
What?

I'm sorry, this is really ludicrous, and stunningly false, as Dean has already pointed out.

I showed that statement to my wife with great amusement as she walked by.  She's a researcher in childhood diseases and just generally enraged by anti-vaccine quacks out there, while being surprised by how effective they are in convincing otherwise intelligent people to endanger their kids and others.

She reads the line above and just says "what utter bullsh*t" and walks awayLOL.

Prove that these diseases have been eradicated, not going to be able to because they have not been eradicated. Dean can't make the diseases magically go away with words or vaccinations

What? Confused

Viral disease spread from one host to the next - break the chain and the virus cannot replicate and so cannot propagate. It really is that simple.

Oh wait - are you implying that either a) vaccines have cause the Whooping Cough virus to mutate, or b) The Whooping Cough virus has mutated itself as a defense against the vaccine?

Why weren't those kids immunized?

1.- That's why immunization must be mandatory.
2.- Even if immunized, the virus can mutate and turn into extremely aggressive, like tuberculosis.

I'm not calling every vaccine junk, dangerous, and useless, but honestly the methodology you find in a lot of medical journals is just atrocious. It's one of the main reasons that you're seeing universities instituting biological mathematics majors. Professionals are starting to come around to this fact too.

Lets check something for those who talk about SEVERE side effects:

1.- Anthrax: 1 in 100,000 dose
2.- DTaP: 1 in 1'500,000 dose
3.- Hepatitis B : 1 in 1'100,000
4.- Influenza: 1 in 1'000,000 dose
5.- Influenza LIVE virus. No serious effect has been reported
6.- MMRV: 4 in a million
7.- Polio: The risk is so small hat can't be measured
8.- Yellow Fever: 1 in 125,000 dose
9.- Snall Pox: 1 in 20,000

Most of this SEVERE symptoms are not life threatening.

But if your kid gets small pox, polio or hepatitis B, is surely life threatening.

Not missing the point, even vaccinated kids can be infected by stronger strains that a non vaccinated kid bring to school.

As the point maker, I can attest with >99% certainty that you missed the point.

That's encouraging - perhaps more reliable data will result - too many (all?) of all these anti-vaccine scares are the result of bad analysis of poorly collated data. However, I fear that regardless of how well the data is processed, too many people will still misunderstand the results.
