Hey!  If you've got a problem with Yoshida Tatsuya, you've got a problem with ME!

I'll admit, I've had that feeling before.  On occasion.

Well... it's sometimes a headache and sometimes just feeling knackered after listening to anything he's on.  I managed to play 3 Koenjihyakkei albums in a row the other day though.  After Angherr Shisspa though I just felt... overwhelmed and couldn't listen to anything else.

Yeah, I've never gotten a headache from just listening to music, but a couple of Ruins albums can sure exhaust the hell out of me.

Maybe you're just old LOL

No no, my dear, just older than me.  I am old but you're older but at the same time, younger.  If that makes sense.

Age-wise you're older.  Wise-wise (LOL) you're mature.  Looks-wise you're younger and fitness-wise you're younger.

Age-wise I'm slightly younger.  Wise-wise I'm immature.  Looks-wise I'm older and fitness-wise I'm older. LOL

Pat's just old. WinkEmbarrassed

I got Happy Family's Toscco a few days ago in the mail.  I need to give it a few more spins before I can evaluate it, but I enjoy it so far.  It doesn't seem as obviously Zeuhl as Koenjihyakkei, but I guess it belongs there more than anywhere else, I hear the debut is less crazy and more Magma-esque.

Also received Univers Zero's debut, the 08 remix/remastered edition.  It's quite fantastic, almost as excellent and dark as Heresie judging by early impressions.

And U Totem's debut too.  It's a kind of longer album so I was nodding off because of the heat and stuff, but from what I gathered when full conscious, it's pretty incredible and unique mix of chamber music, avant-garde, and female somewhat poppy vocals but it works well.

Haha, I'm not wise... merely plausible. LOL

I have always looked young for my age - a bit annoying when you're 16, but quite fun now.  (Nobody at work would believe me when I told them how old I was on my birthday! Confused)  So, if you look older than me, that may not mean you look older than me, if you see what I mean... LOL

Poor Pat, I'm sure he's in the prime of life! Smile

Anyway, I am happy because I am now listening to 'Are(a)zione' (Area live album)!  No, it's not RIO, but it's very cool. Cool

And now this post is completely off topic. Embarrassed

Strangely, my ex is 38 and looks younger than me.  She looks younger than most people though. Big%20smile

I don't look old... really.  I've always looked young.  I'm just jealous 'cause you look younger than me. LOLEmbarrassed

The only Area I have is Caution Radiation Area, which is great but way too short, and 1978, which is pretty good but really different from their earlier jazzy stuff.  I only got it because it was a few dollars. Wink

I agree.  I think I might have to get the debut too.  Anyone have any comments...?

Also received Univers Zero's debut, the 08 remix/remastered edition.  It's quite fantastic, almost as excellent and dark as Heresie judging by early impressions.

I need to give that another play.  I love how it has pieces called 'Malaise' and 'Complainte'.  Can't help imagining that this music, with its morbid soundscapes of intense painful melancholy, may have been inspired by an ingrowing toenail, or possibly a boil... LOL LOL

And U Totem's debut too.  It's a kind of longer album so I was nodding off because of the heat and stuff, but from what I gathered when full conscious, it's pretty incredible and unique mix of chamber music, avant-garde, and female somewhat poppy vocals but it works well.

Sounds interesting!

sorry to continue the off-topic, but Area is incredible.  I got a great compilation by them called "Gold Edition" which I recently added to their band page - first four studio albums plus scattered tracks from their live recordings (has the track Are(A)zione and Event '76, for example).  I'll probably try and pick up the entire Are(A)zione album soon.

Happy Family's debut is indeed more Zeuhl-based.  Excellent album and I heard it before I heard Tossco.  Definitely worth purchasing.

I must get that UZ remaster... I have 1313 on CD but in its original form.  I'm really looking forward to the bonus material!

U Totem are great.  They do have lengthy albums though.  About 50 minutes would be fine for such albums, in my opinion.
