Now just rubbing my hands in anticipation of Greg Walker getting some CD copies in!

Hey Michael, just wanted you to know that I've searched that Serge Bringolf album and Greg Walker doesn't seem to have it, otherwise it is quite expensive. So when I talked to my bro ( who is a retired prog fan) who lives in the U.S and thought he might get it for me there, he said he has that album and his first one Strave. He raved about it like a maniac for 5 minutes, and now I seem to like it already LOL, though I hate building my expectations to high. Anyway he's coming for a visit in about a week after a year he wasn't here, now I don't know who I wanna see more, him or the cd LOL. Coincidence?? Hmmm...I think maybe not. Thanks for the recommendation.

Sagi! You knew to track me down in the Italian Den, I love it!

WOw, what a total coincidence! I think you'll love that album, to be honest it's one of my favourite Zeuhl albums, or at least one I play the most, along with that second Zao album!

I checked Greg's Synphonic, I found the following listed under `France' for the following two albums:

STRAVE (SERGE BRINGOLF) - 1st & 2nd albums from 1980 & 1981 of jazzy Zeuhl music by drummer Serge Bringold and crew.
1 $18
VISION (REMASTERED) $18
VISION (REMASTERED) (JAPANESE MINI LP SLEEVE SHM-CD) $35

Wow, so I've now discovered he has the first album as well! I might have to look into that myself!

Enjoy the visit from your Strave, err, I mean brother!

Pierre, what an odd voice the female singer has! It's very light jazzy music and quite nice! Do you own the CD yourself? If not, another note to pin to BTF's door?

Yep, I noticed Mellow Records even has it still available. Beautiful cover artwork too, I'm always in love with those kind of paintings!

I thought it was strange that it wasn't there. I was looking under B, as in his last name, very confusing. Thanks again but if I would have found it in the first place then I wouldn't have mentioned it to my brother, so it's cool.

That Maad album is very pleasant and easy to listen to, Pierre! Was it a reissue in 1997, or was it something that had remained unreleased from the 70's?

This is the Cd mellow record (1997) of the Lp( Divergo 1976). The whole album sounds very good, very varied. I just ordered one to Greg. I pray for a positive answer. My last twenty orders have been cancelled : OUT OF STOCK !!!!!!
PS : I don't like Jazz rock, just italian Jazz rock.

Ah, the curse of the old `Synphonic OUT OF STOCK', I think we've all been there! Doesn't happen often, but heartbreaking when it does, especially when you've stalled and delayed in asking about something!

Well, if you like Italian jazz rock, I'm sure you've already got this album? I bought the vinyl reissue about 6 months ago, but I still feel I haven't listened to it enough yet.

Dedalus - s/t (1973)

I've also got the Italian album Perigeo `Genealogia', which is really good too! I'm now on the lookout for more albums from them.

Great albums, but not among my favourites.

TOP 3 : First AREA, ROCKY'S FILJ, CINCINNATO (maybe I need prog in my jazz rock. These three ones have it)

Agree with you both, I definately need some prog flavouring added to the jazz recipe for me to really respond to it!

I admire poeple who are truly devoted to jazz and can patiently discover the way it works and what makes it good, but I can look in my collection and see that all the jazz related albums I have are all PROGRESSIVE ROCK albums first and foremost.

Thanks Pierre, that Capricorn College track is kind of cute! Really cool to wake up and hear something like that!

I think I'll try and dig out some rare Youtube video offerings for listeners later on today too!

UPDATED:

OK, Pierre, I'm back, I'm wondering if you've heard this before, I was thinking of buying this album, but it seems like there's barely any other clips on the net about it. It's a Xian prog folk psych album, from what I can tell.

Gruppo Euanghelion‎ - Ora È Appena L'Alba

This is the only Youtube sample I can find, but to be honest it sounds really rather good!

Mikael, the first Capricorn College's album : ORFEO 2000 is excellent. Don't miss it, if you can find it. It took me two years.

Have you found any other clips for it Pierre?!

It's frustrating, because that first Youtube track was beautifully ripped from a vinyl, so why didn't they just do the rest?! Anyway, to be honest, every time I play it I like it even more, so I think I'll just buy it and hope for the best!

The vendor is charging 20 Euro to ship another RPI LP I'm buying to Australia, and I think I can include another one or two LP's in that price, so I figure I need to add a couple of titles to make it more worthwhile. This was one I saw that I was curious about!
