You're right, this country is completely and utterly hopeless for any intelligence to come about.

I know it was the idiot atheists spelling error and not yours. If you cannot credit me with some intelligence then at least credit me with the ability to read.

Looking at it from the positive side, at least half the population won't go to hell if creationists turn out to be right

Honestly, can't believe that almost 50% of the population are creationists.
The literal interpretation of the old testament is rejected by Catholics, Orthodox, Anglicans and most Protestant denominations.
So this means most Christians in USA are Evangelicals o Jehovah Witness.

if you believe that 46% is almost 50% then this Gallup poll from 2012 addresses your doubt:

The Old Testament is not properly history.
It's more a collection of stories told orally hundreds of years and then written after the original message was distorted by the additions done on each generation.
We have no problem because it was about Hebrew people, it's because of how an oral story changes on each generation

It's interesting how Dawkins and all the troll atheists that discredit those who really do not believe only target Christianism in all its many forms in their attacks. Or at least I am unaware that they are as virulent against Islam or the Jewish faith, among others. Afraid to lose their heads? Afraid to be called anti-semites? Christianism is an easy target but a true troll-atheist like Ralph or Dawkins should attacks them all the same.

Dawkins attacks all religions. I think you notice the attacks on Christianity if your Christian, you're less likely to notice the attacks on other religions as they don't affect you personally. Also the big media markets where Dawkins can have the most impact are predominately Christian so he focuses on those areas. He's going to have less impact getting his message across talking about Muslims in a predominately Christian country.
He's hardly a troll, he puts forward his arguments in books and discussion forums. If you attack Christians with the same vitriol that Christians attack atheist this makes you a troll?

I didn't make the number up. Dean has posted my source. American Protestantism is evangelistic. And belief in Creationism exists in other sects such as Catholics.

^^^ not sure about Dawkins specifically without Googling (which I cannot be arsed to do), but certainly the so-called "Four Horsemen of the Non-Apocalypse" spoke out against all religions, including judaism, islam and buddhism. They tend to single out fundamentalist christianity because it is the western religion that presents the greater affect on everyday life in the west.

You're confusing a symptom of ignorance with a cause of it.

I'm not Christian, though obviously much closer to it than to any other religion due to my culture, you are right. I still think their attacks on other more-violent religions are not as obvious as those to Christianity.
I'm calling them trolls because they have turned a lack of belief, a lack of desire to join a movement, into something resembling one, and I think for every person they manage to "convert", they make another one that was religious already a little bit more extreme. Statements like the idiocy of Ralph above with its "pedophile in the Vatican" are not precisely... enlightened.

Oh I agree that they have an agenda to recruit, the more people 'converted' to their cause clearly helps their lobbying.
Speaking personally I grew up in the UK as an indifferent agnostic. I did have born-again friends who tried to save me but otherwise there is very little in your face Christianity in the UK. I've lived in the USA the last 15 years and the number of people who feel it is their duty to proselytize is dramatically different. They've effectively converted me to a militant atheist as they've only made me think harder about my beliefs and just ignoring them leads to a higher level of frustration than discussing issues with them.
