If I recall, Picchio dal Pazzo are essentially an RPI/Canterbury styled band, right Pierre?

I don't have any of their albums, but I seem to think I've read about them referred to in such a way?

You're missing on a lot Michael! I have no doubt you will like their debut!!

Recent mention was made of Procession--not nearly enough is made of this band! Like QVL, you'll find those who favor the first and the second, equally passionately. I love both their albums, but particularly their first. Their singer, Gianfranco Gaza, I rank among the very best vocalists ever. He also participated on Arti e Mestieri's second album, though he was very underutilized. After Gaza died tragically young, the band later got together and did a nice rerecording of some of their classic material as well as a couple new tracks, called Esplorare. 

A singer song album,close to the first albums of LUCIO DALLA. Not bad at all. Maybe good.

Pierre, thanks so much for bringing this one to my day.  I'll be checking out more of this guy's stuff.  And look at that album cover!  They sure knew how to make 'em back then....
