Speed of walking, speed of light. It's all just numbers. Numbers are just another human construct, another language, a way of describing the universe. So if we "discover" that something is faster than the speed of light, we just need to add a new word to the language. It means nothing.

Yeah that sounds all nice and smart and everything but it's wrong. The number we use to express the speed of light is meaningless. The actual physical property of the speed of light is important.

Upon further reflection, I think the only actual assured physical property in this universe is that the drummer will end up grinding one's significant other. What am I talking about? Never been a working musician, I take it? I know I'm borderline insane, but I sez the drummer will end up screwing your girlfriend or wife. That is one of the only known truths (in fact it's an absolute) in the universe. We could probably assign a number to it, which I think would be, binary-illy speaking, 1.

can it be said that Ron Paul is cind of the old old old school Republican, the type of Republican politician that was far more to the centre then the Republicans is today, beocuse back in the 1800s the Democrats were FAAR more similar to the todays Republiacan views and it looks like Democrats and Republicans have shifted completrly to the opesits of what they originaly was, Lincoln from what i read in history books and lectures was far more liberal then todasy Republicans and had views closer to the todays Democtrats then todays Republicams
so i wonder if \, is Ron Paul a Lincoln 20th Century cind of Republican or am i 100% misguided and don't know the heck im talking about.... |
