FDR was absolutely the worst president in history, bar none. He did more to cause irreparable harm to this country than any other individual. There seems to be a notion that if a president gets a lot accomplished, that makes them good. Not so. I'd rather have a do nothing president by far than one who does things to hurt us.


Ok.  Elaborate.  What did he do to hurt this country?  Please enlighten me. 

By the way, I would grant the honor of worst president in history to Reagan.

Since you'll just degree with any economic assessment about him prolonging the great depression, I'll just point out that he pushed completely contradictory economic policies during his presidency.

I didn't like his running huge deficits.  Nor did I like his tax-slashing policies for the wealthiest americans.  his deregulation of just about everything he could.  This is what has allowed us to go from CEOs making about 50 times what the average worker makes to 475 times what the average worker makes.

Well there's this.
There is so much in that that granted almost unlimited powers to the president himself. He wanted to be a king, not a president.

Also, he made it illegal for private citizens to own gold, which is insane.
