I think se added me because we both left a shout on the Animals as Leaders page.

Adding a bit of culture by trying to listen to the Haydn symphonies.  As it always seems to be with me, as beautiful as the music is, I have a hard time listening to it, because it puts me to sleep.

Yep.

I'm sick of the heat, the lizards, high-as-hell rent, no place to park, and flaky people.

I found out I could live in the ritziest neighborhood in my hometown- a single family home with a gorgeous yard- for less than we're paying here.  And the apartment complex wants to raise our rent $40 a month starting in November.  Screw that.

My entire family (both sides) lives in a 40 mile radius.  My kids will have cousins and second cousins to play with, and my wife and I both have very good friends there.  It's so damn lonely here.  We've been here four years and have no friends.  We're going back.

I can understand that.  I'm sort of surprised that you haven't made more friends through your church, but I guess that can be a once a week type haven sometimes.  It will probably be good for the kids to be near their grandmothers, and maybe good for you and your wife to be able to leave the kids with their grandmothers so that you can  have some "you" time.

Can you continue with the job that you are doing or are you going to try and go back to teaching?

Awesome Rob, Florida is a terrible state. I'm pretty sure the US would be better off if it sank into the sea. Although I do like lizards. :(

The very overweight girl on the computer next to me at the library is browsing this website, oh stereotypes...

In the Star Trek Enterprise series Florida was completely destroyed by the alien race that attacked Earth at the beginning of the show.  That would make me sad though, since my parents live there and love it.  Florida is a great place to visit, just not sure that I would want to live there year-round.

Why did they destroy Florida specifically? An equivalent chunk of New England or the Mid-Atlantic would probably have more casualties.

Hahaha, scott, why did you buy Catch 33? I could have told you that you wouldn't like it and I don't even have it! And I also think that Mr. Beast is about an 8, we agree on something!

Well, the problem about our church (wonderful church) is two-fold:  First it is demographically weird.  Lots of little kids, lots of elderly people, but almost no one between 21 and 30.  Second, the church itself is almost 30 minutes away from us, and some people live even farther from us than that.

My wife's immediate family is here, and I know they will be saddened, but to be honest, they are always busy.  Always.  We see them about once a week (at- you guessed it- church), and then of course we're busy having service.  My wife talks to her mother about three times a day on the phone anyway.  Her mom also has young children still at home (my son's uncle is four-years-old).  Plus she is a foster mom, so you can imagine how she rarely has time.  My wife's dad works a full time job and is also the pastor of our church, so he's either working, busy with church business, or watching sports.  LOL

Both of us work at home.  However, I literally have a contact or two or seven at just about every high school in Cumberland County, and getting a teaching license there is ridiculously easy ("What's you name?  What's your SS#?  Have you ever murdered anyone?").  So if I wanted to get back into teaching, it would be very easy for me to do.

Catch Thirty Three is actually a CD I borrowed from the library, so technically it isn't a purchase but to get it to show up on Mike's charts I listed it as a purchase.  I actually borrowed it from the library a year ago and absolutely hated it.  I figured that I have been listening to a lot of metal lately so maybe that would change my mindset.  It wasn't as horrible as I remember from my last listen, but it is still pretty bad.  It is actually more doom metal than the thrash metal I remembered.  A lot of repeated guitar riffs that aren't nearly as fast or heavy as I thought from my first listen.  The vocals still pretty much suck, but I've had a lot more exposure to those types of vocals than I had had a year ago.  I still don't like them at all, but I can at least tolerate them a little bit more.

Did your wife's parents move down to Florida to be nearer to you and your wife, or did you move down there to be nearer to them?

Well, neither.  We moved down here because the teaching opportunities were good and there was no state income tax.  LOL

My wife grew up here in Florida.  We lived in NC for 3 years and then moved down here after we graduated college.
