I just heard about this on the news, and had to go to this thread immediately.  I am so terribly sorry for your loss, Brian.  My deepest condolences for you and your family.

Thank you to all.  This thread and that means all of you mean so much to us.  Somehow I wish we could just have  a candle burning tonight for Amber tonight or today as it were where you are.  Amber's favorite animal was the wolf.  When ever I see one I think of her.  Would you do that too?

I've been following this  thread silently, because anything I could say would sound pale in comparison with the pain Brian and his family were suffering.

Now I can't say anything, except that I'm terribly sorry.

This is what I thought would happen, but it's still terrible for it to be confirmed. Sorry Brian. :(

I'm sure you know Brian that many many of us have been following this thread but feeling inadequate to post. We have all been hoping for a positive outcome.

I really is devastating to find that after all this time all our hopes have been dashed. Sincerest condolences to you and your family.

I was at the gym this morning when I saw the news running on the bottom of CNN.  I am deeply saddened by this news as it is not the outcome any of us were hoping for.  Please accept my deepest condolences for you, your wife, and for Amber's family and friends.

I'm very sorry to hear this development.  I kept hoping for good news in the case.  My thoughts go out to Amber, you and your wife and the rest of Amber's family.  My heartfelt condolences Brian.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I had read the piece in People and then just happened to see the latest on Fox News last night while channel surfing.  I never watch Fox News so it was odd that I happened on this.  Sounds like they have the guy who did it and I hope justice is served but that won't bring her back.  I am a father of 2 daughters so this hits home but I can't imagine how her folks are feeling.  I wish them and all the family well.

I really don't know what to say. It's just so wrong.

I will light a candle for Amber and one for Chelsea King too.

I'm extremely saddened by this. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst of enemies, and for it to happen to such a good person as yourself is simply tragic. You, your family and friends have my most genuine of sympathies.

Thanks Iv'an my dear Kansas friend. The path that we have chosen has truly led us to a wall.

To all of you that have posted here just know there are tears running down my cheeks as I read these. Thank you for taking a moment to stop by and say something. It means a lot to all of us;.

If anyone is local and feels so inclined there will be a candlelight vigil to held tonight in front of Escondido High School. There are plans for a public memorial on the 27th.  I really believe San Diego county is all in mourning today losing two of its brightest young stars.  The only hope for good from this and not waste their beautiful lives is to make sure we do everything in us to not let this happen again. Budget cuts are no excuse.
