Actually, some of that DP albums I bought replaced my Cd-r's of In Rock, Machine Head, Stormbringer and Come Taste The Band. Luckily, all the other stuff is new to me! And I bought the masterpiece In Rock too, though I made a mistake and put Burn twice. |

Haven't heard the live one with the symphony yet, but I'm very intrigued about how that orchestral movements will sound. And The World has been a little bit of a disappointment. Anyway, I have made just two listens to the album, so my opinion could change. It seems a little weak, and I can't see many memorable melodies to keep my attention as there were, for example, in the masterpiece The Window Of Life (even better than Masquerade Overture, IMO). And Cacho, Images & Words is one HELL of an album! Hope you like it! |

Played with my marching band yesterday at the State Football game, then we stopped for dinner, and the place where we stopped was just across from my favorite Bookman's. I rushed in quickly because we had to go soon, but I snagged these two.
King Crimson - The Power to Beleive
The Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium
One lesser-known album by a gigantic classic prog band, and one definitive album by one of the bigger modern bands. Which one is better? I don't know yet, I've only listened to PTB, and upon the first listen I was astounded at how good it was. If Deloused is better than the KC one, than it must be as good as everyone says it is.

Not really. The disbanded because David Coverdale quit after a show on their last U.K. tour. He announced it to Paice and Lord backstage and they in turn informed him there was no band left to quit since they had already decided to end it anyway.
Tommy was already touring with his new solo band (supporting Jeff Beck I believe) when tragedy struck.

Yes, a great album which sadly went largely unnoticed...
Let's hope there will be another one at sone point (when Mr. F. realises the marketing and revenue potential of selling brand new profesionally recorded and mastered stuff - in contrast to uploading the 400-th bootleg tape of the Starless-lineup in concert).

Yeah, I really like I&W, I think it's great! From Take the Time to the end I consider it a masterpiece, a pitty the first 2 tracks which are weak, IMHO. Yeah, Pendragon's The World isn't that great, though I clapped you cause it's not a very well known here in Argentina and it's always welcome to buy something from them even if it isn't that great. And yeah, The Window of Life is the best for me too. |

i don`t buy anything .Instead I steal everything I own including music. I went into HMV with my dull butter knife and demanded the Revisited Records remaster of Amon Duul`s Carnival In Babylon yesterday. Great bonus tracks. Over 30 minutes of unreleased relentless jamming. Cool stuff. I wrot a short review here last night as well.
