Hey David. How are you? I've been very busy these past few days. Work as usual. And I've been gaining weight, as I'm finding less time to jog.

I've been pretty OK, quite broke which means no new music for awhile , and the PA gremlins are playing tricks on me, so it's been a frustrating week

Ultra-Boredom. Not to be confused with the new Dragonforce album Ultra-Beatdown. How could anyone take that band seriously?

Just got home. Got shoved into a garden bed three times, got wacked in the nuts twice it's getting awkward, I think this girl likes me (well, when she's not hitting me in the nuts, she wants to hug me A LOT).

That's good. She owes you and your nuts if she's hitting them like that.

Other than the pain about 1 and half hours ago from being whacked, I'm all good. I've been listening to Anesthetize heaps lately. 6 times yesterday. I just forgot how ridiculously good that song is!

I saw them do that live .
I too went through a phase where I listened to it over and over again for hours. It's too epic.

It just makes me sad, because I sit there and think "how can someone write music this good?!" Wish I had time to just sit there and write music all day, that chance might come later this year, during summer I suppose.

It's summer here..so it's my time . We're moving the recording of the demo to winter break which is about 4 months from now. We've all got school, and members going on vacation for 2 weeks ( ) is making it hard for us to finish before summer.

HA!
I saw them play it live twice, once on the tour where they were premiering their new songs and both times ironically under the MTV studios.

I can never go on a vacation, any extended time away from guitar, I feel stressed out for some reason. I just need to practice, I cannot go more than one day of no practice before I feel weird. Hopefully my old folks are gonna buy me virtual bass player software so I can compose with a decent bass sound.

Almost 40 minutes of pure epicness!
I've only seen them once so far. Many times to come

Guitar Pro 5 has been helping me when I'm writing by myself. Actually, most of our material comes from me and the other guitarist writing on our own..and not the two of us together, completley seperate. The band puts forth input and stuff so it gets altered a bit too sound better.
But back to Guitar Pro..yeah you can put in the bass part and drums on a seperate track using tablature and experiment with that. It's very helpful.

Haha, I used Guitar Pro 5 a lot too. I do use the bass and drums, but I mean for a final product recording, the drum tracks on GP5 won't cut it at all in sound quality, which is why I really goddamn need drum programming software soon.

I'm listening to MACHINEf**kINGHEAD.
They're becoming one of my favorite bands quickly..I've seen them twice..three times come January! Such a powerful live show. The only live show I like better is Dream Theater.

I like RIO better. If there was a Groove metal band I would have killed to have seen, it would have been Pantera. Goddam, they put out some freaking classic albums.
