We had a very pleasant day: good beers, good conversations, lots of fun, some nice sightseeing and eventually we ended in a great restaurant (Sean was highly impressed by the hugues collection of Belgian beers) with delicious starters, main dishes and deserts. Conclusion: A PERFECT DAY, TO BE CONTINUED, NEXT TIME PARIS, LONDON OR BRUSSELS? Thanks Syzygy, Alucard, Oliverstoned, Christophe, Sean, Tony and Joren, now I know the faces behind the names, soon all details will be revealed on the Prog Archives Forum!
Unfortunately the Baldies didn't show up, everybody is concerned why not!

They've not been on the forums either... so I don't know where they are, has nobody got a contact phone number for them?
That is indeed a shame Jean and Friede didn't show.
I am glad you all had a great time.
A London meet-up would be great for me!

Yes, Alucard, Syzygy and Tony A made pictures, I am looking forward to these pictures too! By the way, I forgot to mention that most progheads were pleased with the record shops inThe Hague and bought some special items on (on LP, cd and dvd) like Oliverstoned bought the dvd Pink Floyd Anthology featuring a splendid version of Atom Heart Mother (In Japan, without orchestra). And I have succesfully pushed him to buy the latest Riverside album (I cannot imagine that it will disappoint him).

Yeah, we really had a great time! Although everybody was disappointed that the Baldies didn't show up. Unfortunately, nobody had their telephone numbers...
Anyway, we had a lot of fun buying CD's, smoking spliffs (well, four of us, not me) and having a meal together! I also bought two CD's from Sean Trane (he brought a lot of CD's in his trunk).
A few personal messages:
Chris: I hope you like the Shib-Niggurath, Zorn and Residents albums you got And when you get back home, remember to drive on the right side of the road!
Martin: I was nice to finally meet you! And, o yeah, I will watch that DVD Maybe we will meet again in Paris once...
Erik en Tony (de Hagenezen): Het was heel gezellig! Vooral nog een keer doen! Ben trouwens nu naar die sampler van iO Pages aan het luisteren: heel aangenaam. Misschien toch aan PA toevoegen? In ieder geval, bedankt ervoor, Erik! Ook lekker gegeten en verhitte discussies gehad over "prog" en "half stars" met Hugues en jou, Tony! Fène gosâhs!
Hugues: Wow, I finally met you, the greatest womanizer in the world. (I won't tell the others what you told Tony and me over dinner ) Thanks again for the cheap CD's. I didn't listen to 48 Cameras yet, but that My Skinny Wonderland CD certainly is a lot of fun and could be included to PA if it's up to me (there is a certain Mr. Bungle influence I think).
Olivier: Too bad you had to go back to France, huh? There are no advertisements for magic mushrooms on the streets over there!
Christophe (if you read this): Why don't you join the forum?
ALL: HOPEFULLY I'LL SEE YOU ALL ON A NEXT MEETING, WITH EVEN MORE PROG, SPECIAL BEER AND CHEESE FONDUE (and maybe even the Baldies)!!!

It was a very relaxed and pleasant meeting. Coversational subjects were : Beer ( in the restaurant ) Sean knew more of beer and stuff then the guy who worked there !!! . There was a big shout for Led Zep to be added here on PA, maybe influenced by the Bubblegum , and beer. Got a few recommendations from the French ( Present ), bought a cd from Hughes ( J.T. ) and was given a cd by Gong ( you ) from Oliver and one from Caravan ( In the land of ... ) from Martin ( Alucard ).
Thrashed the top 100 list, and discussed the ratings , we were going for the half stars included. Joren, Syzygy and Hughes covered the Zeuhl/RIO territory with me just listening. I was once more amazed by the vast knowledge of everyone. Triumph was flying over the table but not in a flattering way.
Even though we spent plenty of time together, I wished it would have been longer, there was not enough time to talk to everyone for a long period.
Thanks to Syzygy, Erik ( for leading the group and for the restaurant ), Hughes, Oliver, Alucard, Christophe and Joren for a very interesting and enjoyable day. For another meeting, count me in !
Cd's bought, Erik mentioned that allready, also a Supersister ( Dutch ) cd was bought. !!
Oliver, talk to Christophe , he must be in the PA forum. The pictures will arrive a.s.a.p. ( with me out of it ) More later. Martin, we will discus the GG subject, maybe on PA ?
duh groetuh uit duh haag ( greetings from The Hague ) spelled with the hague accent.

We had loads of fun, Joren and me made a bit of fun about the wonderful pronounciation of Syzygy's English ( he is a teacher ) , oh realy !. Chris was a good sport about it all.
The owner of the last cd shop we went to wanted to leave on time. He was not ready for the European invasion ! Especially Christophe ( he bought some vinyl ) was not pleased that the owner said he had to close the shop otherwise his wife would slaughter him. And out we went.

Glad to hear you guys had a good time. I'll most likely (AKA hopefully) be in Europe in August, I'd love the opportunity to see some of you guys while I'm there. I guess that's for another time though.
