Before:

This is kind of a strange album for me.  If I try listening to it as a progressive metal album, it really isn't very good.  But if I listen to it as a straight up metal album it would fit in very nicely with Holy Diver and The Last In Line.  Russell Allen does a very nice job of channeling Ronnie James Dio on this one.

Now:

McGill Manring & Stevens - What We Do

A good jazz rock album with a bonus live disc.  Too slow and ambient like at times for me, but when it rocks out it is pretty good.

Solo album from ex-Guns and Roses bassist Duff McKagan.  Nothing special, but not bad if you happen to be a fan of G N' R.

How is that one? It's one of the Midnight Oils I don't own that I really should.

It's not bad, I haven't given it a really good listen but it's a lot more raw than their later material.
