Great cartoon! I love the literal buildings separated by a conveyor.

Brilliant, but repetition can be painful as well. Let's take a look at 'billy butthead' for instance. |

Dude I love Peter Steele. Oh will we could say that Peter Steele was a father of Goth Metal. For sure. I miss that guy a lot. Type O Negative was a fantastic band. |

I agree, Peter Steele was the great artist who really deserved that book. RIP Btw, do you heard Via Obscura, a magnificient Goth Metal project (with symph rock elements) from 2012? |

lol, Via Obscura is Goth Metal. I suggested them for Symphonic Prog because they have symph rock elements, but at the first place because PM Team don't accept Goth Metal; then Via Obscura were directed to their new home in Symphonic Prog section and auf Wiedersehen!

Of course they are Gothic Metal
(no contraction of Gothic to Goth please - a Goth was a member of an East Germanic tribe and more recently a member of a Western subculture, Gothic is a style that is applied to everything from architecture to music).
If the Symphonic Prog team believed this to be Symphonic Prog then I'll not argue with them, but I will reserve the right to say:
well done Svetonio, nicely played.

Why thank you. And 'yes' I have heard of VIa Obscura. Not one of my favourites, but the Piano in this song is very lovely. I think if you really like obscura, then the French duo choir from the band ARTESIA you are gonna love. Check out the album Hilvern. You will be moved. :) Anyway. I gotta say like I did earlier that if the tenure of prog-metal did in fact start in the early 90's I would Agree with you about DT being the fathers of the genre. :) They certainly revolutionized the genre big time. I mean you look at what was being done in the 80's with Prog metal and then jump to just the early 90's we can hear some major emergence. The 1992 album I&W's is such an incredibly important album for Prog metal....and for Prog music in general. :) but it did not start there. ;) |

Also. If one were to have heard the latest DT effort I think most can and would agree that DT have emerged very nicely from their very early works. In the last 14 years Dream Theater have not dramatically altered their approach to creating quality progressive metal, but I think sometimes you just have to stick with what you are good at and tweak it a bit here and there for posterity and variety's sake. I think DT have done very well in this regard. :)
21st century Prog metal heros and benchmark setters? DT get my vote. They could be the.....oh yes I am gonna say it Dean....the fathers of 21st century Prog metal. ;) (not the true definition of father I know. ;) |

My favourite Prog Metal band is Pain Of Salvation so I feel compelled to say that they are the fathers, grandfathers, great grandfathers, great great grandfathers, great great great grandfathers, creators, inventors, progenitors, begetters, leaders, paterfamilias, owners, pwners, governors, heirs, chieftains, lords, kings, emperors, major domos, chamberlains, custodians, guardians, elders, proctors, stewards, sensi, protectors, defenders and mothers of Prog Metal for no logical reason what-so-ever other than I prefer them to Dream Thicket.

Dream Theater are the greatest band even though they spell it wrong
I wanna sing it through the land so I put it in a song Oh... necrohippoflagellationexpialidocious
If you repeat it often enough it doesnt seem so bogus
necrohippoflagellationexpialidocious
it really is a magic spell better than hocus pocus

Actually. I will agree with this. It's these American pronunciations/spelling perceptions of words i personally have never agree with. Theatre---Theater Colour---Color Favourite--Favorite ....just to name a few. Although I've never heard of ticket from thicket...if that is was you are sarcastically getting at? |
