Nice fight in the Mariners' dugout last night, with Wak and Figgins going at it.  The baseball sucks, but the side show is first rate, probably the best in the majors.  And it's only July!
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

It was a weak fight.....more like boyfriend girlfriend arguement.........Albeit, my hope is that it sparks the team and gets them on a winning path. Not sure it is enough to make a wild card run but getting well above .500 would be nice.

Mariners are lacking in pitching dept, excluding King Felix.

Bobby Cox couldn't do it with muuuuch better teams, he ain't doing it now.
As much as I'd love to predict a repeat for the Yanks I don't see the pitching staff stepping up this year.

the Texas Cliff Lee's in 5 over either the Cards or Phillies.

And yes, I know the Phillies are 6 back right now but I have that little faith in what the Braves are doing.  I just picked the two NL teams that seem to always be there because I don't trust any of the upstart teams.

Time always wins.

Ah crap, was in the all star game mentality and got distracted with things, kind of forget that real baseball came back Ermm
Apparently the Yanks lost today though, not a good start for getting back into it!

With the great upper management that the Buccos have I'm putting my money on them.

The Buccos need some pitching, or they need to expand the strike zone.

Is Whitey Herzog really HoF worthy? 32nd best record all time but the 18 managers ahead of him in the Hall really were worthy of the honor. Glad to see Andre Dawson finally get in.

Did the Wak/Figgins fight wake the M's up?? Split with the BoSox....and I think we scored more runs than the Sox in the series.

We still need major offense and more pitching.

How deep are the M's pockets? They lost A-Rod but there is talk that Pujols could be available for the right amount of $$$$$.

^ Our history past few yrs is to go after so-so guys and hope they have big years......Pujos would certainly help. The loss of Lee was huge to the rotation.....it brought us down about 7 notches. Our hope lies with a better Eric Bedard after surgery.
We are a fast team but no power hitters, nobody will hit 30+ HR/90+ RBI........That is our need. Pujols is gonna and should get huge money.....+$15Mill per year....I doubt we do that.

It'd be nice to see Bobby's last season go so well.

The Braves need to quit putting so much faith in Nate and Jessie, though.
Hail Eris!

Pujols was on Letterman last night. Could be a prelude of whats to come. Pinstripes or Met Orange and blue.

Well either one to me would bring him down on the Mr Baseball scale.......I hope he stays in St Lou........It would be better for MLB he stay.
I doubt the NYY have the cash to pay him, unless he accepts 90% of it in 15yrs and further.
