What.

Honey Bun!

So today was my last day of work and I have Calc II and Physics tomorrow, wooo no more stocking sh*t. Unfortunately, I have come no closer to getting into contact with the f**ker from my communications class, so I'm just going to have to buy the book because he has fallen off the god damn earth. It's only $25 or whatever but I'm so pissed that he's such an inconsiderate slob, I hope he died, that is the only excuse good enough for me.

Academic sourcing, eh?
Well, since I don't have a document at hand that says it (although I'm sure with some searching you could find something about it), take into effect the increase of health care now. Genetics may be very similar to today, but without the medical advances of today, people from 18th and 19th centuries didnt have the knowledge of the human body and growth, so even fewer were able to reach their genetic potential.

If you want a more concrete example, take a look at pygmies in the African savannah; they aren't genetically meant to be shorter than 'developed' people, its all about their lifestyle.

I knew there was a reason I liked Shostakovich.

I didn't find it through XKCD...

But somebody else posted it because of the XKCD, even if it may have been a few times removed before it got to you.

People were shorter because of worse nutrition, not medical advances. Actually, pre-Agricultural people were taller, but the average height tumbled after people started farming because then almost all they ate was grain.

Well I sent the communications guy a final STRONGLY WORDED LETTER. He won't f**king read it, though, but at least it made me feel better, assuming it doesn't get me on some kind of watch list.

Wow, it's not even 9:00.  I still have a whole night to do stuff.  Why does it feel later than that?

I am yes, but not music as a whole. I will get another guitarist to do the guitar parts for me. I can sing, play violin, keyboard, and all. I'm not touching the guitar for at least another four months.

I actually have no information about the issue so I was just curious. I've been told once that there definitely was a period when people were generally shorter, around the 16th century. That was based on the observations that the rooms in normal houses (not palaces) from that era are very short, with the ceiling barely above the head of normal guy from today. I was told to look for that when I visit Shakespeare's home in Stratford, but I didn't get around to visiting Stratford so far. LOL And I'm not even sure that's a good deduction. And second, I'm also not sure if we can corelate height with health.
