Ha yeah I like the Western ones. Not a fan of JRPG.
Also lol at that most recent Final Fantasy game, the one where the entire game is basically a linear path LOL
There's like one time it's not, and that's after like 20 hours in!

I'm psyched! And skeptical to.. Bethesda gave production to a different company for a little while.

I'm expecting another great one from them.  Morrowind was great...Oblivion was great (still play it regularly)...Skyrim will be great.  You know what else is great?

Sleep.

That is quite unnerving, but alas I'm pretty excited about this news.

Oh lawd, FF13 was indeed pretty horrible. No major gameplay problems but nothing stunning about it at all.

Nothing stunning?
Wasn't it going forward? And nothing else...
I guess it may have been nice graphically and a cool story that allows you to...walk in a straight line.
The one thing some people I know kept hope for was the weapon/fighting system which disappointed all of them.

lulz

Oh and I'm just not a Final Fantasy fan, though 7 and 10 were not bad.
Worst part about that latest FF is supposedly they spent a ton of money and time making it.
So not even laziness, that was truly the result they wanted LOL

Haha, no.
Western as in....Hemisphere. Not Japanese RPG's.

Although I would guess Red Dead Redemption is an actual wild west RPG!

Ten was awesome! Seven I never played. Square used to be a better company waaaaaay back in the day.
I'll take Secret of Mana over anything they've done in the last five years. Never played 13.

Red Dead Redemption actually could be thought of as somewhat of an RPG, come to think of it.
In other news, RDR is f**king amazing.

haha you only played it 27 hours a day.
And I never played it, but I thought RDR was an rpg? I know it was at least extremely open ended.
Though my brother didn't like it. Loves that zombie version though LOL

It's pretty similar to GTA in gameplay mechanics/formalities, although it does have some level of character customization and choices on how to complete missions/different paths. Only thing that annoyed me is that currency is pretty much useless after you buy 2 or 3 useful items.

They apologized for it, so I'm not sure that's the case.

Well, you didn't really level up or anything like that so I'd call it more action adventure.
Honestly, rockstar manages to defy genre whenever they make a game. RDR was awesome to.
