I'm going to go pick up a free 5 Disc CD Player from a local record store. This will be the first time I've had a proper working CD player since last year.

As far as funk goes... a funk song in D# (Eb) is the most frustrating thing to play on guitar if you're going to do more than comp a couple of chords. Playing a funk song in F is the second most frustrating. This is assuming you have the guitar set to standard tuning.

Besides, you'd want to play funk in A anyway, comping the D7/9 chord. That'll get your girl shakin'.

Tune the guitar up/down a half step. Problem solved.
