For Christmas, my brother got me the book "1001 albums you must hear before you die". It covers the 50s to 2009, and is split as such:

50s: 26 pages
60s: 146 pages
70s: 256 pages Including 30+ prog
80s: 184 pages
90s: 226 pages
00s: 92 pages
