We've begun watching the Starz series Camelot. I'm sorry I missed their Sparticus series, but we didn't have Starz back then. I might have to hunt that down on DVD some time.

How was Camelot? I saw the commercial for it and put it on my mentally interested list, and then total forgot to watch it. I have Starz on-demand though, so I think that I should be able to go back and watch it.

We've only seen the first episode (we have the 2nd and 3rd recorded). It was admittedly slow in places and there was some occasional overacting, but it was visually stunning, and it looks like they are setting things up for some exciting stories. I would have never figured a bald Joseph Fiennes as Merlin, but he comes off enigmatic and convincing enough. All in all, a good beginning, and I am looking forward to some exciting adventure.

mmm a beautifull Morgana, Morgouse, Elienya, Guinewere, and many other noble woman ah I like the midle age and spessially anything related to arthurian myths and legends
I loved the 1998 made for TV movie Merlin which starred Helena Bonham Carter. It also reminded me of the made for TV movie The Odyssey which came out shortly before that. Excellent stuff.

Lost in Space Season 1
This is when the show was shot in beautiful black&white and before it embraced the campy nonsense it did by the third season. A sort of cross between Forbidden Planet and the Swiss Family Robinson, LiS was ambitious television for its time and offered reasonably well-written pulp in a modern sci fi genre, and made liberal use of props & sets from earlier films by the same studios. Doctor Zachary Smith is truly evil in these early episodes - closer to Gary Oldman's portrayal in the film - and after having sabotaged the Jupiter 2, continues to be a slimy foil to the clean-cut Robinsons. Probably Irwin Allen's most realized project considering the mundaneness of Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, or Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Later to be blown-away by Star Trek of course, but not a half-bad show in its beginnings.

Is that the one with what's-his-name (Armand Assante?) and Greta Scacchi? That was good.
