Hmmm - re the MP Damian Green's arrest & 9 hour detention...

Quote Gordon Brown - "I had no prior knowledge, the home secretary had no prior knowledge, I know of no other minister who had any prior knowledge," he told Sky News, adding: "I knew about it only after it had happened."

I think that translates as:

Quote F! - I told the home secretary that was a bad idea a week ago!!

Tonight we attempt to retain our crown as 7th Hornchurch Scout Group quiz champions. Tomorrow night I'm off to see the London Community Gospel Choir again, should be a good night. It makes me laugh when they have these great "singers" on the X Factor when this choir have people who could sing them into the ground without the slightest problem.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Respect to you, Alan...Clap

I get out and support the Kington Choral Soc (among others) when they perform at St Mary's Church... supporting local music groups of different styles, is a very worthwhile thing to do...Approve

Enjoy = it should be a good night, and I hope you remained undefeated.

Apparently Simon Cowell has decided that some X Factor wonk should tackle Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, following in the footsteps of John Cale and Jeff Buckley. Oh dear...

X- factor has become as big a joke as the dancing thing - voters deliberately going against the judges' recommendations and voting for "their favourites", regardless of how bad the singing is - the best singers have now gone from the competition, as anyone who is not "cute" get scuttled off by the unwashed pro-pop masses  Unhappy

we are now left with - four preened "we're so coool" show-offs doing karaoke ;  pretty girl who has a voice like a rusty gate; little rabbit caught in the headlights who can't sing; Diana Ross wannabe you can't understand what she's supposed to be singing.  Sorry to lose the Spanish rock chick - a little over the top but a good effort on  "Always ",  as Simon noticed there are two other reasons why she should have stayed... Wink

Britney Spears the mime artist - the lights were on but nobody's home...Wacko

even a local amateur drama production i saw on Friday was less of a shambles....LOL

Not that I've ever ever watched it, but is the little rabbit in the headlights the young man who can't spell 'Owen'? If so, he has top stay until at least the final week or so - he's young & boyish, so the granny's will love him...

Incidentally, is the world's least convincing boy-band still in contention? Now they can't sing

I only saw the Diana Ross wannabe while I was in the Chinese buying my supper ... now there's a girl who can't sing - no diction what so ever and a terrible warbling wailing vibrato that sounds like an auto-tune playing "find the note" to a cat being neutered without anaesthetic..
What?

Back home again.............. I did see the X-factor this weekend for the first time this series....... I was SHOCKED at how off key that Diana "march like a demented Giraffe" Vickers was...........HOW DOES SHE GET VOTED IN?

BLEUGH!

Pity the Spanish girl got voted off, she has a voice!

Anyway, pinch and a punch first of the month and all that, Advent season is upon us!

R x
