Pray Carson doesn't do a 180 on backing away from the musical cabinet the way Trump's done with his relationship with Christie.

Almost picked it up at a bookstore, had no idea a book was out. I didn't because a quick flip made it look generic and what he's already hammered on, but I feel like as Sandernista I should pick it up for the cause Speaking of the revolution: My former State House Representative and big Bernie supporter (who was stripped of his superdelegate status before the DNC without reason....cant imagine why...) John Wisniewski is running for governor of NJ. The current Democratic frontrunner is a typical big donor insider Democrat with Goldman Sachs ties...so this really may be the Sanders/Clinton (or establishment/progressive) battle continuing. |

While the Dems did fall short of expectations in the House, here is a great article explaining why they were never gunna win the House anyway, why they continue to be in such a lowly position and why the future is a tad bleak. Despite changing demographics...the GOP isn't going away anytime soon.
Why? Republican gerrymandering. I thought 2010 was a great accident for them, but seems they actively realized the potential of a midterm year falling on a census, attacked and capitalized. With new fangled technology on their hands, took gerrymandering to new heights and it's really hurt the Dems. |

Oh, speaking of Sandinistas, Bill Maher once said that if Che Guevara was still alive, he'd wear a T shirt with Bernie's picture on it!

Betsy DeVos, Secretary of Education.
Wants to eliminate public education. Wants to defund public education and go to a voucher system so people can either go to charter schools or private schools or simply home school their little inbreds on bible studies. Once said "high wages" were one of the things that made Michigan noncompetitive. Her foundation has the stated purpose of building "an American education system that equips every child to achieve his or her God-given potential." Which is fine. If your god is white and protestant. And caters to wealthy patrons. I feel badly for the children of this country. Among other folk in this country I feel badly for. f**k. Edited by The Dark Elf - November 23 2016 at 16:08 |

BTW, I remember a time way back when when Hillary advocated school choice. Glad she lost her commitment to that! |

Yeah, not feeling the DeVos pick at all.
Support for vouchers. Automatic no go in my book. All the nice market oriented, "freedom!" and "choice" theories can be given to us until the cows come home but it's very clear what it is: an attempt to farther defund public education. Plain and simple. That's pretty much all I got because......that's all I can find in relation to education Shocker of the century: She's an unqualified person who's donated tons to the Republican Party. A businesswoman with no education experience that I can tell, and has gone to private Christian high school and college. Seems her only involvement with education is wanting to gut public education, that she clearly knows so much about, and wanting to Christian it up. More superb choices from President Elect Trump! |

So, it seems Russia was behind a good bit of the fake news spread around the internet this campaign.
Not all of it of course, but yeah. Between Trump's nothing but laudatory comments on Putin, the links between some of his team and Russia, that server Trump had believed to have been communicating with a Russian bank, now this? Let's not forget Trump's "The President can't have a conflict of interest" comment. Do people seriously still dismiss the idea there's no possibility of Russia having undue influence on him? Or at the very least there's not any concern about Russia? It's funny to me, every time I post this type thing, people are quick to say "There's no concrete proof" and quite overwhelmingly those very same people believe every single thing they hear about Hillary without a shred of care Anyway we shall see, Trump seems like he will pull a Bush and just appoint business people and/or friends to every possible post he can. In a weird way I at least feel comforted knowing he will behave exactly as we imagined. Those who wanted to "drain the swamp" and break the oligarchy, establishment blah blah hope they enjoy the guy who will likely be our ultimate plutocrat!

^ On the contrary: now the US to knows how it feels to have their politics manipulated by a meddling nation. Rings a bell, don't it?

Believe me...I do appreciate the irony. As a looong time opponent of US foreign policy it is a bit hard to feel angry, it's absolutely got a "well guess we deserve this" feeling. That said, I am fair...I do accept the wrongs we've done so I am still pretty unhappy about it. I wanna say this could be a lesson for the US but of course it wont be. |

I wonder what the liberal reaction would have been had Clinton won, and the Democrats taken control of both houses, and the Red states called for secession from the Union
