I totally get how it can be a turn off but the music is so great. Give it some tries.
The growls really that bad? Try to accept it as part of the music, Akerfeldt really does use them great. Unlike a sh*t ton of metal bands that scream 100% of the time and sound their vocal cords are being gutted....

I have Sabbath, Maiden, and Rainbow's Rising.
And i don't like Metallica or Megadeth.
I'm not to familar with Priest's work besides the hits.
