MGS3 is the best one as it is the most cohesive one

4 is a bit odd but had some amazing moments like going back to

shadow moses

Although they're all 5*.

Portable Ops+Portable Ops Plus+Peace Walker on PSP are all f**king amazing too.

other than the boring as cutscenes and the monkey with the diaper

4 had the best controls and the best enemy ai

and more creative missions.
