Good! I've been meaning to review it to push it to the top but looks like I didn't need to... >_> |

It really is grainy. Strange thing that painting is sharp clear. You can review it to ensure its position. However, I hope that new Birds & Buildings won't be as "new" (2009) Porcupine Tree, which turned, you know how. We expected (a lot of us) and it was, .... it was. |

The new Negura Bunget will be named "Varstele pamantului" (Ages Of The Earth or Ages Of The Land) and the release date is March 2010. There will also be a live DVD with the classic line-up due to be released in 2010, and it will be named "Focul viu" (Living Fire).

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned in the previous 12 pages - but Devin Townsend has said in an interview that Ghost and Deconstruction will be released simultaneously in May.
The reason is that Ghost is going to be much less expensive to produce (and will sell less), and by doing it this way he can combine the funding. Edited by npoczynek - January 10 2010 at 13:35 |

I'm thinking you can expect a new year, just as same as the old year, except a little different..

What CAN'T we expect?
Old Genesis to reunite and put out a spectacular prog album. On a non prog related note, I just woke up and there's no water. Probably a main break in the area. It's been happening all around town. On a positive note. I decided to take a hot bath last night. Edited by Slartibartfast - January 11 2010 at 06:53 |

Still 10°C in my room, because I'm not able to understand how to handle this machine that makes heat using coal and wood, lot of pipes and sheer randomness of faults. Sometimes, it's 12°C and from 4PM-1AM it's about 20°C, so I'm happy. At least my netbook isn't overheating and I have a sober mind to think about.... things. So I can rename this thread back, you've been punished long enough :-) The question is, what's up in new year ? I feel that I lack something here. |

Sigur Rós have scrapped their new album, binning recordings described
last year as "near completion". Frontman Jonsí Birgisson has revealed
that the Icelandic band are on indefinite hiatus, as they are busy
"having babies" and releasing solo albums.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2010/jan/28/sigur-ros-indefinite-hiatus We need to take this one off the list... |

:- / Just when I started thinking about getting into Sigur Ros. Updated though. So what are the stakes ? New albums are coming, being released and this thread is stagnating with not so much contributions. Thanks for Sigur info though, it's important new. |

A Weidorje live album, recorded October 14, 1978 at Rombas (Moselle) should appear in 2010 on the Soleil Zeuhl label.

You can put a new Cynic EP on the confirmed list.
I met Paul Masvidal after the Between the Buried and Me concert (where Cynic was one of the openers) and he told me that they have a new EP set to be released in April. He also said that the full-length album was to follow shortly after. I would assume this means before 2010 is over but I'm not 100% certain. |

Eh, I share your trepidation on that one. For me the big thing about Bantam to Behemoth is the masterful combination of almost zeuhl-esque fusion with textbook symphonic prog, in a way that neither ever really sounded out of place and the flow was incredible (also the song writing was incredible, the instruments impressive, emotionally rocketing around between beauty and chaos, etc...). I'm worried that either he might not pull it off as well, or that he might pull it off just as well. Much as I love the album, a part 2 wouldn't have anywhere near the same magic. Any sort of date for the new album yet? |

I don't know if this has been mentioned.... I looked at the first 5 pages of the Thread but Sun caged are planning on releasing a new album this Summer
http://www.suncaged.com/home.html Besides that there is Rhapsody of Fire confirmed. There are Too many TBA albums from prog bands to mention last time I checked wikipedia. I really look forward to a new Fates Warning Especially since they got back Frank Aresti, Though Matheos was always the main writer maybe that''ll help being their traditional sound back a bit, Also they plan to Re-Release Paralels with a Bonus DVD on March 16th, and have some reunion shows with Its Lineup. Here here. I'm gonna go insane waiting for that album. I'm not listening to any single they put out (I ruined The Running Free for myself last time) or even looking at the tracklisting this time. I'm gonna have that album be a 100% new experience the moment I get it.
