To get into that mindset, similar sounding studio tracks can be heard here on their MySpace page.

I wholeheartedly approve, Scott....Approve

if I can give you a slightly out of the box metal recommendation to try, which I think you really might like:

Therion: Theli

I absolutely love the album...its one of the few I own, which I can just play again and again without getting fed up of it...so melodic, and powerful...every track a corker...I gave it 5 stars on this site...Wink
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I previously heard the track Lemuria on your MySpace page.  That was pretty good.  I thought that as a whole that Therion played some pretty intense metal.  Is Theli an exception to that?

What is this Sanatogen?  A quick Google search brought back both vitamins and tonic Wine.  Is this a alcoholic beverage of some sort?  Possibly, a concoction that is made in the Shed.

Absolutely, it is their lightest, most melodic album...(bizarrely Angelic, while still having a Death metal framework, if that can be believed...) its just completely addictive...Embarrassed

Sounds interesting.  What about the Everon that E-Dub mentioned.  Is that something I would like?

Oooh,  Sieges Even is quoting some Rush during These Empty Places.  Happy days!!!

Sorry been off on a Gothic research after seeing the hot babe thread. No luck but Klim 1918 tracks on MySpace sound OK.

Can I reply here or should I go back into the Shed? I need to put my teeth in.

Good evening. Big%20smile

I return to you artfully empurpled (no, that's not a euphemism, I just coloured my hair. Tongue).

Important Question Relevant to Earlier Discussion: Am I weird?  I don't own a lot of Yes, but I always listen to TFTO all the way through. Ermm LOL

Calm down J - it's only a genre.

Scott - I fully recommend Bridge. I'm not one for detailed breakdowns of music but I just like the sound of Everon. They even pass my drum test.

J recommended Everon to me a couple of years ago. One of his many recommendations (and other sycophantic praising).Wink

Hmmmm.  $24.98 on Amazon for a physical CD or $9.99 on ITunes for intangible music that I can turn into a physical CD but without the booklet.  I'm still stuck in the having the real thing physical CD, but those kind of price differences make it easier and easier to get over that issue.  Although, I think I will check with my locally owned brick and mortar stores just to see what they can do for me before I download it from iTunes.

Are we talking DEEP PURPLE or MAGENTA?

As far as weirdness goes, it depends on where such a questions is asked.  On PA, your listening habits are probably similiar to most others, although Relayer and Close to the Edge would also be in the rotation.  My Yes listening habits on the other hand are quite weird in the world of PA.

That's odd. Amazon.uk has it listed at £10.88 from CaimanUS in Florida. The exchange rate can't be that bad - can it. Just checked £1 gets you $1.75. Hmmmmm

Actually, that's true.  Caiman is listed at $18.66 plus shipping and handling; the $24.98 was the Amazon price.  I can generally get new CDs at the local store for anywhere from $9.99 to $16.99 depending on timing and playing my cards right.  Obviously, that is easier said than done when it comes to finding prog in the brick and mortar stores.
