Damn, I almost forgot how hard calculus is.  How'd I ever get thru three semesters of that?

I hit my wall with Multivariable Calculus.  Math in three dimensions was just beyond my cognitive capacity.

I don't think I took Differential Equations, but it sure looked rough.

My college roommate was a Magna Cum Laude math major.  He always found that stuff so easy.  We called him Rain Man.

I was talking to my friend and in his Diff Eqs class they were deriving an equation with so many variables they used every letter in the English, Greek, and Russian alphabet. Like f**k.

Ordinarily I don't take the Lord's name in vain, but that was a reaction straight from the gut, and it had to stay.

Suppose V is a subset of Rn (in the case of n = 3, V represents a volume in 3D space) which is compact and has a piecewise smooth boundary S. If F is a continuously differentiable vector field defined on a neighborhood of V, then we have:

\int\!\!\!\!\int\!\!\!\!\int_V\left(\nabla\cdot\mathbf{F}\right)dV=\oiint\scriptstyle S(\mathbf{F}\cdot\mathbf{n})\,dS .
The left side is a volume integral over the volume V, the right side is the surface integral over the boundary of the volume V.

Thanks coolin.

Wait, what?
