I'm not sure but I think that the dogs that were let out were pit bulls and that they killed the shred.

I've not watched the program, but I started reading the first book when I was on vacation a couple of weekends ago.  I am 250 pages into it.  And Winter is apparently coming.

Greatest TV series ever made, IMO! And the books are good too. I'm about 400 pages into the second book myself, but I've seen all three seasons. I'm totally hooked!

So far the book is pretty good although he is basically just laying the groundwork and introducing the characters. I think that winter's coming will kick it into the next gear.  Once I have finished the books I will probably try and watch the videos.  I just hope they didn't screw the pooch as badly as they have done with Stephen King's Under The Dome.
