3-0 Czechs for me

Smile You're predicition appears to be right on the money.  USA is just not among the elite teams, at least not yet.  Well, they still have Ghana to look forward to...Wink

Mixed day for the colonies so far.......Australia now have a fair chance of progressing if they can do the business against Croatia.....but they picked up several cards (again)............as did the Czechs, who otherwise looked very impressive......probably the best so far.....I wonder if Ghana can "do" the Italians tonight?

Injuries? what happened with Borguetti, was it serious?

If I recall correctly, Borgetti is unlikely to play next match against Angola; I don't have anything against him, but Mexico seemed to play better when he was replaced...

No sh*t Sherlock, the Chzechs have been good since 98. AT LEAST (too young to know before that)

The top teams as I see it are Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Chech Rep., and, yes, Holland (they finished third out of all teams in play-offs).
Epic.

I agree with your choices - especially Portugal (I'm a huge fan of the Portuguese).  England should be on that list - they are loaded with talent, but looked very flat against Paraguay, so I don't know what to think of them.  Germany is also very good.

This game is exactly why I picked the Czechs to win it all, yes to win it all at the beginning, but I'm doubting the health of this team, with minor injuries to Baros and hopefully not a serious one to Koller.....

A tough game for them though.
I'm really pleased that the African Nations whilst not winning yet have played some superb football and have have certainly not come to the tournament to make the numbers up.

Everybody was positive about the result and emphasized that it great to start with 3 points. Personally I was disappointed about the defensive errors (bad marking), players like Van Persie and Schneijder worked hard but failed to give decisive passes, only Robben was almost brilliant. My conclusion: at this moment were are no more than an outsider, Ivory Coast and Argentina play way more mature and experienced. Perhaps the hot weather was a bit too much for the players, well next Friday Holland plays against Ivory Coast at 1800, then we will see what Holland is worth.

                           AND NOW FUERZA MEXICO !!!!

Everybody said hoiw well Argentina played, but in my country(myself included), we know we can do so much better. Messi and Tevez are our best players and were in the bench, so we gain three points, but with mediocre football played by Argentina. Netherland, dont expect this from us, we are way better, so watch out!!!
Go Argentina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ClapClapClap

Really I don't think Argentina played so well, but we can do it so, so much better with that kind of players. The fairest match result, honestly, should be a 1-1 tie. I think Pekerman should put Tevez for  the next match (with Saviola), and see what happens if he takes out Riquelme, because he plays veeeeeeery slow (during the match I went crazy when Román had the ball and slowly passed it backwards Confused) We're Argentina we've to ATTACK, ATTACK !!!

So, as you said, VAMOS ARGENTINA !!!!  ClapClapClap

I'm really pissed with the referees, they always help the powerful teams, toiday was evident, Italy made a clear penalty pushing a Ghana forwsrd with the two hands (Not even with the arm), the Brazilian referee  was very close and let the game continue.

Italy was only winning by one goal, this would have changed everything, but it always happens,. wouldn't be strange that tromorro Brazil receives some help if they are having a hard time with Croatia).

Really I'm tired of this mafia rulling the (IMO) best sport.

With Holland being worldchampion, cause WE have the largest and most abundantly spending following in Germany right now.
Epic.

It's South Korea vs Togo in 20 minutes or so.......and with the greatest respect to both teams, and both countries,.........I'm sorry..........I'm not going to watch........there's an old "Wycliffe" on ITV instead that calls me more strongly..........I hope I can reanimate my enthusiasm for France vs Switzerland later......

They are screening most of the games here where I work, so I ended up watching South Korea vs Togo, which wasn't too bad really. South Korea won 2 -1 btw.
Looking forward to France v Switzerland which I think France will win 2 - 0
But even more than that I'm looking forward to Brazil tonight, normally such a good side to watch, I think they'll beat Croatia but it will be tougher than a lot of people think, maybe just 1 - 0 to Brazil...

Wycliffe was a good one Wink.......although I did switch over to the footie twice during the ad breaks.......and each time South Korea scored.......so I got the best of both worlds...Big smile....best free-kick of the tournament by SK.....worth watching on highlights.......
