I would have to say ' Riverside' whose first album really impressed and I'm getting into their latest offering 'Second life syndrome' too, a very refreshing sound.

I have found several bands here. Therion and Ayreon, Mogwai, The
Mahavishnu Orchestra, Comus, and Diabolical Masquerade. Thanks alot
prog archives, you have shown me music that I would have never
discovered otherwise.

I've discovered, and re-discovered, plenty of great stuff here over the last year or so.
To choose one: Gentle Giant! I did not know of these guys before finding them thanks to the top 100 albums list... That list, the mp3s, and the reviews was an invalubale resource (I didn't bother with the forums much then as a resource).
I could not believe that I didn't know these guys before.
After months without anyone to share my Gentle Giant joy with, I decided to register here.

Explosions in the Sky has been the major highlight for me. Sigur Ros, GYBE, The Tangent and A Silver Mt. Zion have all been impressive finds too.
I have Dalezilla to thank for the recommendations ![Tongue](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif) ![Clap](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif)

When I first came here in early July I had never heard of Genesis, Premiata Forneria Marconi, and I had not heard anything by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. It got me started on many many bands; too many to list here. Those three are the biggest though! PA also helped me branch out my knowledge of bands that I already knew existed, or had a couple songs from. EDIT: Oh yeah, Camel! Anglagard, too. Le Orme... Banco. ![Embarrassed](smileys/smiley9.gif) EDIT #2: And Harmonium... Jethro Tull.
