Actually I think the linear cannon between the two albums is Amnesiac then Kid A. I have a whole complex theory of the two albums that I don't want to get in to. They're basically 2 sides of the same coin with different perspectives.

Hmm, that's understandable and would definitely rationalize the reason for the rapid change in sound between OKC and Kid A.

If you don't want to get into it, fine, but now you have me intrigued. OuchWink

I'm afraid I might sound a bit silly, but it seems like Amnesiac is some terrible thing happening and Kid A is society watching it happen in a way.

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I know Kid A seems to have a more rigid concept/story behind it though, whereas I'm not familiar if Amnesiac has a similar base to it. Does it?

It seems like Amnesiac gains more cohesion musically than lyrically but it's much less rigid than even Kid A

Thanks, Pat. Big smile

I'm celebrating with The Bedlam in Goliath. Hug

I made a review of that MONTHS ago but accidentally put it under my old screenname. I need to get those reviews scrapped and redo them, especially that album since I love it so much.

Thanks, Dan.

Oh, btw, does your Album List still close on the 17th? I may try to convince some other people to do it.

You must really be into writing a thorough review if you listen to a 3 star album 50 times a day.  Tongue

I know.

It does feel odd for me to be a reviewer of any position, though, as I'm not first and foremost a writer. LOL
