Are you using last.fm for it now? It's a really neat site.

Yes, I'm scrobbling my iPod now that I have custom firmware running on it.  I try to upload my stats periodically.  I might put a sig from progfreak in my PA sig at some point as well.

Considering I just started listening to them recently, I need to get their plays up as well.

I need to get plays of everyone up.
I have so many different artists, though, that it will take a long time to get a large count for anybody.

Awesome! Sounds great.

I would use my progfreak and my COAM link simultaneously, but it exceeds the limit.

That's awesome. Thumbs Up

I'm such a Henry Cow fanboy now though; I'd give all of their albums 5 stars, even objectively. Definitely my favorite band ever (discounting Rush, I can't choose between either one since they're different).

They are definitely in my top 5 of all time.  They might as well be my favorite because I don't like any band more than them, but there are a few I like equally.

For me it goes like:

1. Rush
1. Henry Cow
3. Magma
3. Ozric Tentacles
5. King Crimson
5. Frank Zappa
Then many other really good bands, including Gentle Giant, Meshuggah, Porcupine Tree, etc.

Or something or other.

I really need to get my Magma plays up as well.  That's a lot harder when my favorite album from them has 2 tracks.  LOL

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean there.

Tangerine Dream's albums usually have anywhere from 2-5 tracks (most of the ones I listen to anyway, though there are a few exceptions), so they should be higher on my list.

My favorite Oldfield albums have 1 or 2 tracks too, excluding Songs from Distant Earth

3. Magma
4. Dream Theater
5. Frank Zappa

I have to confess that Henry Cow is my favorite RIO band as well. Western Culture is absolutely mindblowing, as well as IPOL.Embarrassed

Well, I tried that new 3RDegree album....it was alright, I suppose.  Not sure if I'd be in a hurry to listen to it again.

Really? I haven't checked it out yet, but I'm intrigued.

Well, the type of music they play doesn't resonate with me as it does for others.  It's so weird, IZZ is pretty much the only band of that "type" that I like (and I love them).

I still have to hear IZZ too. Sounds like two bands I should be hearing soon!

On that note, I heard Lateralus for the second time ever yesterday and it wasn't half bad. Not one of my favorite metal discs though, got boring after too much of it. But still, not bad at all.

I'm listening to Return to Forever right now, my favorite RTF song in fact. Big smile

To be honest I probably wouldn't have recommended them to you Pat.  But in my opinion your tastes have changed/progressed so much since I first started talking to you here on PA, there isn't really all that much that I listen to these days that I would recommend to you.

In the What Are You Listening to Now? thread, Mike had mentioned that one of their earlier albums sounded like 80's Rush.  That intrigued me, and made me think that you might like it.
